As we head into a weekend marked by escalating tensions in the #MiddleEast, most of our clients have fortunately been able to avoid or leave the region on available commercial flights. However, some remain due to operational requirements and are prepared to stay for an extended period. They are self-sufficient and ready to endure potential communication blackouts and limited access to medical facilities. Several countries have established evacuation plans for possible mass evacuations, deploying troops and resources to #Cyprus as a strategic location, while others lack such capabilities. My thoughts are with those who cannot leave, as they live there with their families and friends. Once again, they must endure a crisis and conflict between parties seeking confrontation. Aircraft operators, please be aware that flying in the greater region of #Lebanon, #Israel, #Iraq, #SaudiArabia, #Yemen, #Iran, and #Jordan comes with associated risks. It is crucial not to focus solely on avoiding the Lebanon/Israel area but to conduct a thorough risk assessment and choose operations wisely over the next 48 hours. Our team has witnessed a build-up of military hardware in the wider region, something you do not want to encounter, either targeted, by misidentification, or by other means. And we are not even talking about the risk due to GPS jamming/spoofing and critical infrastructure like airports that could be damaged. dyami | security intelligence | count on us

Keeping an eye on the dynamic situation in the Middle East. Be prepared to understand implications for your business and travelers in the region and respond to developments such as these commercial flight restrictions. #riskintelligence #globalintelligence #travelrisk #middleeast
Elevated tensions are likely to affect the Middle East through mid-April amid concerns over Israel's potential response to Iran's April 13-14 attack. Some airline companies have suspended flights to several Middle Eastern cities. For example, Lufthansa (LH), the flag carrier of Germany, has suspended flights to multiple cities through April 18, including Amman, Beirut, Erbil, Tehran, and Tel Aviv. Other airline companies could institute similar measures if the security situation in the Middle East worsens over the coming days. 🇱🇧 ADVISORY UPDATE - Lebanon Following the announcement from the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) of their intention to invade Lebanon the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) have reported that Swiss Airlines Group (Lufthansa, Swiss and Eurowings) adjusted their flights and are suspending night flights to Beirut over the period of June 29th - July 31st. Several advisories have adjusted their travel advice from no ‘non-essential’ travel’ to advising a ‘Full Evacuation’. The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) advises against all travel to Lebanon due to risks associated with the ongoing conflict between Israel, Lebanese Hezbollah and other non-state actors in Lebanon. The FCDO has also stated that travel insurances could be invalid if this advice is not headed. Israeli media outlets are reporting that the IDF are now moving troops and equipment from Gaza to Israel’s northern border with Lebanon and that ‘Thousands of reserve soldiers are currently being recruited for the northern border’. This cannot however be verified. Analysis of events within southern Lebanon have shown a large increase in airstrikes and artillery bombardment from that reported in May. Due to this activity the Grimnir LLC Threat Report level is now High and suggest that people in Lebanon wishing to evacuate prepare to do so and avoid the south of the country as attacks escalate. #Threatlevel #lebanon #Israel #traveladvisory #insurance #middleeast #evacuation #security #preevacuation

The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah is escalating. The IDF has been given the green light to start full-scale operations against Hezbollah and halt the their attacks on Israel. A full scale operation will very likely involve air strikes on #Beirut, including the international airport which is believed to house a large cache of Hezbollah weaponry. Israel has in the past destroyed the runway. Several countries, including Kuwait, Germany, Canada and others have advised their citizens to leave Lebanon while it is still possible. The IDF will likely give foreigners some days to leave the country, but they will start their operation soon. We advise commercial operators to start winding down their operations in #Lebanon to avoid crew and aircraft remaining stuck in the country. dyami | security intelligence | count on us #lebanon #beirut #aviation #israel #bizav #conflictzones #businessaviation #aviationsecurity #airspacesafety
