This was a tremendous event, and it was especially enjoyable for me to be back in my home town and to meet and present to all the attendees along with Dr. Barnabas Acs, Ph.D. from our partner LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group)

🌍 Masterclassing Update - Our First Net Zero Masterclass in London! 🌍 This morning, we hosted our inaugural Net Zero Masterclass, building on our success in the US and Canada. The session was filled with insightful discussions, emphasizing that data centres are the factories of the 21st century, the significant carbon footprint of cement, and the fact that the average UK citizen consumes 144 litres of water daily Our expert speakers tackled key topics, including: - The implications of CSRD for Scope 3 business travel - Best practices in ESG data reporting - Strategies to help businesses achieve net zero in the commercial and industrial sectors - Addressing sustainable marketing and the "big green elephant" in the room A highlight of the event was an inspiring keynote by Lewis Richards, CSO of Microsoft, who shared his thoughts on "Technology and Sustainability: Making the Narrative Grounded and Human." Thanks to our partners Scope3, ESG.AI, LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group), Thrust Carbon, Supercritical and Dale Power Solutions and speakers Sahra Monfort, Trevor S. Kit Aspen, Nicholas Miller, Aaron Randall. Key themes that emerged included: - Net Zero Strategies: Developing comprehensive plans for Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. - Corporate Engagement: Engaging all levels of the organization in sustainability efforts. - Trends and Innovations: Exploring the intersection of climate strategies and technology, such as AI. - Supply Chain Management: Addressing challenges in managing indirect emissions and sustainability practices. - Regulatory Compliance: Navigating ESG reporting requirements and integrating sustainability metrics. - Decarbonization Efforts: Understanding various strategies for reducing thermal energy use. - Challenges and Barriers: Identifying obstacles like financial implications and stakeholder resistance.
