After a productive week in Europe, I am now in the UAE, working to further strengthen Omega Seiki Mobility’s (OSM) ties in the region. The UAE, led by visionary rulers such as HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan President of the UAE, and HH Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister, represents an exciting market for OSM as we continue our rapid expansion. The UAE is one of the safest and most secure countries in the world, with a low crime rate and a high level of social stability. The UAE government provides excellent public services and infrastructure, such as health care, transportation, telecommunications, and utilities. Its ability to promote collaboration, streamline building processes, assure safety and optimise long-term asset management makes it a vital tool in the construction industry. The deployment of digital construction technologies in infrastructure projects helps improve project planning and implementation, thereby reducing time and cost overruns for projects. 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 Technology usage has accelerated in the past few years at Indian airports. Notably, 43 of India’s largest airports will receive digital solutions from SITA (a technological firm), according to an agreement signed with the Airports Authority of India. Furthermore, in the following seven years, the technology may be expanded to 40 more airports. SITA will implement its cutting-edge solutions as part of this agreement, such as SITA Flex, SITA Common Use Self Service, SITA Common Use Passenger Processing System and SITA Bag Manager. These platforms can enable scalable operations to address the unique operational requirements of airlines and ground handlers. The roll-out of new cloud technology will enable Indian airports to convert to common usage passenger experiences with numerous airlines accessing the same infrastructure, such as check-in counters, self-service kiosks and boarding gates. Moreover, many airports throughout the world have been built by employing building information modelling technology. Exciting news from Dubai South! They’ve just partnered with INDU LOGISTICS to launch a new 23,000-square-meter facility in the Logistics District. The new facility will have a storage capacity of 75,000 pallets. Set to be completed by Q3 2025, it’s designed for spare parts of all sizes, with data-driven automation to streamline processes. This strategic investment supports the booming demand in the #automotive and #aerospace sectors. Mohsen Ahmad, CEO of Dubai South’s Logistics District, shared his excitement about the project, emphasizing its importance to Dubai’s position as a global logistics hub. “We are pleased to witness the groundbreaking of INDU Kishore Logistics’ new facility, which will be of added value to the logistics sector and our portfolio of leading logistics companies.
