There are normally two kinds of banquets at an event. Snacks or light food and drinks. Do you know that when preparing a banquet, food and drinks should also include garnish!!!! But not on top of the food or the drinks. But on the sides

Cruffins as big as people’s heads!!! IFE, ExCeL London It was good to see a few of our customers last week at this great food industry event. This event is getting bigger and bigger each year. Cruffins as big as people’s heads, whatever a cruffin is, unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to taste a one of these, but they looked amazing. There was some really nice food on display and to sample, which both me and Ryan did throughout the days that we attended. In the middle of the hall, which did break up the different industries, was a huge pub event, with beers and spirits as well as other services for pub industry. Which I can’t remember from last year, and that is not because I was too drunk, but it was good to meet some of these small (and large) breweries as we do now export and import alcohol. The event must have been over subscribed as there where a few industries out of sync, a burger seller in the machinery department and one of our ice cream customers in the advice part of the exhibition, but I guess as things get more popular there will be a few discrepancies. Overall, a great turnout, we initially went to visit and support our customers and it was really nice to speak to people in person. One of our customers said, everything we have on this stall was imported by NETS, we even provided the vehicle to take all of there goods to the event. Sometimes, and I know it shouldn’t, but you don’t realise how much you do help businesses achieve their goals, just by providing the best service you can give, and it was nice to get that amazing feedback. When you are in the office and on the telephone, it is hard to get the intensity of the appreciation that some people have for what you do, and it is quite overwhelming when people rave about you. Our whole team worked so hard to help some of the exhibitors. We are looking forward to next years event and helping even more customers, especially with our new temperature controlled European groupage service. #ife #foodindustry

𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐲 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞! 🤬 Here are 4 tips on why you should be generous Let’s talk about food! It’s more important than you might think. At SaaSiest we believe that serving quality food and beverages is an important part of creating a great experience. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐲: 1. 𝐈𝐭 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞:🌟 Good food can elevate the entire event experience. Happy stomachs mean happy attendees. Remember that people have invested time and money to come. Don’t be cheap! 2. 𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭: ⚡ Make sure to have many food stations and communicate where they are and where you can find food for special needs. 3. 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: 💵 Yes, it’s costly, and provides a much larger economic risk, but it’s an investment in attendee satisfaction. When we did the first SaaSiest event we had to pay half of the cost for food and drinks before the event and it was quite scary. We pay more than 100 Euro per person for each attendee just for food and beverages. But again, it is worth it! 4. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭: 🤬😕 No food - try to find a restaurant nearby yourself! 🤬🤑 Food and beverages, but you have to buy it yourself at a food truck at the event 🤢 Food but it’s cold and the arranger tries to make a statement rather than prioritize taste 😐 Only cold food, sandwiches, and wraps. 😛 Many different meals, including warm food and beverages. Special needs food is available as well. A shoutout to the great team at Slagthuset Malmö! Are we doing a good job at SaaSiest? What are your experiences from other conferences? Hope to see you at SaaSiest Amsterdam Oct 1-2. We are planning some tasty food just for you! #SaaSiest #MeWantGoodFood
