Team Falcons (Group B) - 97.2 points • Standout performance: 65 eliminations • Squad: Biffle, Hisoka, and Shifty 2. Fnatic (Group B) - 87 points 3. Team Abwizz (Group C) - 86.8 points 4. Team Heretics (Group C) - 72.4 points 5. Guild Esports (Group B) - 69.4 points 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: • 21 teams competed across 4 battle royale matches • Team Falcons dominated with consistent high scores: 13.2, 21.6, 48, and 14.4 points per match • Groups B and C are showing strong performances in the top 5    The competition remains fierce with teams like Natus Vincere NAVI, SGP Syndicate, and Team Vitality in the mix. As the champions are crowned at The International, we raise our horns once more to the esports community and our partners, PGL. But what was worthy of Valhalla this year? The event featured an intense schedule, comprising 24 best-of-two (Bo2) matches, 31 best-of-three (Bo3) matches, and culminating in a single best-of-five (Bo5) final. Team Liquid emerged victorious, making history as the only team to win the tournament twice with completely different rosters. 🏆 Additionally, player Neta "33" Shapira also set a remarkable record by becoming the only individual to win the tournament with two different teams, first with Tundra in 2022, and now with Liquid. 🏆 And what did the tournament look like as a betting product? This year we saw a significant surge in betting interest. The lower bracket finals match between Gaimin Gladiators (GG) and Tundra Esports drew the highest volume of bets on our infrastructure during the finals, also marking it as the most-bet-on match of the tournament. The grand final between Team Liquid and GG attracted the largest monetary wagers, reflecting the high stakes and anticipation surrounding the match. In a dominant display, Team Liquid’s sweeping 3-0 victory against GG marked a trend: the past 3 International champions have all secured victory without dropping a single map in the final. Historically, only 4 teams in 13 Internationals have conquered the lower bracket path to victory, highlighting the difficulty of this feat. Tekken has had a long and storied career at the Evolution Championship Tournament Series, but Arslan Ash's sudden and meteoric rise to fame has cemented itself as one of the game's most legendary stories. His skill is unquestioned - how, then, can we quantify it? As part of an ongoing data analysis project on the professional Tekken landscape, I've plotted out the number of matches won for every player in every relevant finals bracket. This visualization in particular is only for Tekken 7, the game entry from which Arslan Ash burst onto the world stage. Looking at the graph, we see that Arslan's primary competition in terms of won matches are Knee and Saint - both veteran players from Korea, the region long considered to be the strongest in the world at the time. In addition, both had been playing Tekken 7 since release, having a three-year lead on Arslan in terms of racking up wins. Saint in third place holds 35 wins, towering over Nobi's 18 wins in fourth. Knee holds 40 wins, the legendary player a three-time champion. It says a lot, then, that the underdog from Pakistan still managed to outpace Knee by six matches, holding 46 wins. Arslan Ash is now a five-time Evo champion, and widely considered the best player on the planet. His victories have shone a spotlight on the Pakistani Tekken scene and given his fellow countrymen more opportunities to compete. He is, without a doubt, a legend. Want to see more? Week 5 of #EWC Esports world cup has come to a close. This week was a quiet week comparatively for Team Falcons as we competed in just Apex Legends and Honor of Kings. Whilst our Honor of kings unfortunately did not score any points, our Apex team finished 2nd during a record breaking grand final that featured 13games and numerous teams on match point. A crisp 600 points picked up from that result which further extends our lead over close rivals as we saw: Team Liquid pickup 305 points Vitality fail to score Fnatic fail to score Twisted minds fail to score At this point we have not mathematically won but, it looks all but set. We can wrap it up during week 6 over three games (fornite, TFT and Street fighter) in which we have strong teams in all. If we manage to score some good points, we'll be able to say that Team Falcons are the esports world cup champions And that will feel damn good to say. #EWC #esports #winning #teamfalcons #performance
