It’s been a major week at Smoking Gun towers. Launching the PR sector’s only industry taught apprenticeship in partnership with The Juice Academy on Monday. Closing down the final details of another major brand win for 2025 on Tuesday. Running a global strategy workshop for a world famous brand with a host of far flung senior stakeholders, with great feedback on the Wednesday. Signing an NDA with a mega sized house of brands on the Thursday 👀 Final prep underway for another senior hire starting in our B2B & Corporate team this month. Being a month away from launching our new business wide integrated work management platform, the bedrock of our planned future sustainable growth. Being on track to end the year 50% up on our best ever year. Of course none of this would have been possible without our ever growing team of talented colleagues. In 15 years this is our best iteration and blend of people yet. We’ve invested at all levels and invested again in their development. We give them the physical, mental and emotional support and space to deliver world class effective work within the Smoking Gun proven process. We had a lovely celebration session last week to reflect on all of this and more. This recognised the personal growth of the team, both at work and personally. Recognising those moments that matter: kids passing exams, starting new schools, team moving house, moving in with partners, passing driving tests etc all the parts of life which help to keep the team happy at home which helps them be high achievers at work. I’m appreciative of everything we’ve got going for us, of all the discretionary effort our colleagues make, the sacrifices to make us the best and be ever focused on continual improvement. And thankful to the clients who trust us and listen to our advice and consultancy, without whom there’d be no Smoking Gun .
