✨Honestly, I believe one of the biggest mistakes a salon owner can make is giving up all their clients and walking away from their craft—especially if being behind the chair is your zone of genius.✂️👑 (By the way, if you haven’t read The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks, it’s a must-read!📚) I've been there. I listened to coaches, took classes that convinced me I needed to "fill the entrepreneur position" and leave my passion behind. So, I handed over my clients and stepped away from the chair—and even teaching. I thought I needed to spend every moment working on my business rather than in it, only to end up staring at spreadsheets I hated. When you want to create a cult-like brand, what are the things unique to you that other people in your industry might find strange? For example, I’m a speaking confidence coach that’s obsessed with loungewear. It’s unusual to see a speaking coach dress in pajamas, so I’ve incorporated it into my branding & named my group Presenters in Pajamas. This isn’t the main aspect of my branding but it’s a side quirk that makes me more human and relatable. It also shows my relaxed vibe in an area where people are trying to be buttoned up & overly professional. Think about your personal quirks, is there something “a lil strange” you can incorporate into your branding?
