I am giving Movember a go in 2024. My Dad has prostate cancer, and I have some clients who have it as well. So, this is for them. Why Movember Matters: · Health crisis: 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime. Most of these cases are diagnosed in men aged 65 or older. Survival rates have improved A LOT, largely due to early detection through PSA testing. · Mental Health: 80% of global suicides are male. There are many places in the world where suicide rates are higher than murder rates. So, you are more of a danger to yourself than strangers are to you. Men, get your PSA test if you are over 40 years old. And remember, it’s okay to not be okay sometimes. I battle with imposter syndrome and anxiety ALOT. Get help if you need it. You are not being a hero by keeping it to yourself. Talk to someone. #Movember #MensHealth #Awareness #MentalHealth #ProstateCancer #TesticularCancer

We’re halfway through Movember, and it’s inspiring to see so many people coming together to raise awareness for men’s health issues like prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health struggles, including depression. Growing a mustache this month may seem like a small gesture, but it represents something much bigger: the importance of breaking down stigmas and encouraging open conversations. Men often face these challenges quietly, but awareness and support can make all the difference. Let’s keep the momentum going through the rest of the month! Together, we can drive positive change in men’s health. #Movember #MensHealth #ProstateCancerAwareness #MentalHealthMatters

It’s Movember, and I’m joining the movement to raise awareness for men’s health issues like prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health. These are topics we don’t talk about enough, but they affect so many men across the world. Men’s health isn’t just a men’s issue - it’s something we should all care about. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK, and testicular cancer often affects younger men. And mental health? It’s time to break the stigma. Too many men struggle in silence, and we need to change that. If you're a man, talk to your mates, check in with your doctor, and don’t be afraid to open up. It’s OK to ask for help. And for everyone else, let’s support the men in our lives by raising awareness and showing them it’s OK to talk about their health. This Movember, let’s grow together and start conversations that can save lives. 🌍💙 #Movember #MensHealth #ProstateCancerAwareness #TesticularCancerAwareness #MentalHealthMatters #StopMenDyingTooYoung #GrowAMoSaveABro #HealthMatters

Movember is a global movement dedicated to raising awareness for men’s health issues, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health. Each November, men grow moustaches to spark conversations and encourage vital discussions about these often-overlooked topics. Why is this important? Because one in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, and many face mental health challenges in silence. By talking openly and supporting one another, we can save lives and promote well-being. At Peak Healthcare Recruitment, we support this initiative and encourage everyone to get involved. Let’s break the stigma and prioritise men’s health together! 💙 #Movember #MensHealth #ProstateCancer #MentalHealthAwareness #PeakHealthcareRecruitment

But, you look so well Sharron! 🧑🦲 Here's the reality: I may look fine, but chemo side effects can be really tough - both physically and emotionally. Thats why I’ve been quiet on here for a week. Early on in my diagnosis I chose not to share the worst parts of treatment for 4 main reasons. 1️⃣ My family read my posts, 2️⃣ Everyone’s cancer treatment is unique. Even if two people have the same treatment, their side effects can vary a lot. 3️⃣ It's easy to find stories and forums online about chemo's tough side effects. It doesn’t mean you’ll get them all, or that they last forever. 4️⃣ You’ll assume I can’t work? News flash!I want to, I can, and I am. Instead, I focus on sharing facts, evidence, the importance of checking your cherries and raising awareness of cancer in the workplace. 🍒 Sympathy is the last thing someone with cancer wants or needs, But checking in makes a huge difference, not just right after treatment but in the weeks that follow - Side effects don’t always kick in straight away. Roll on next week when i’ll feel human again and I’m back in the game 💚 #CancerAwareness #MentalHealth #SuicidePrevention #PeopleAndDevelopment #Speaker
