This is such a relevant piece about Women in leadership and why having more women in leadership positions is not enough, when internalized norms make some of these leaders replicate the inhospitable and competitive behaviors they themselves faced on their journey to power positions. Moreover, it emphasizes the importance of prioritizing feminist leadership, regardless of the leader´s gender. My personal experience resonates with this sentiment, because two of my best bosses have been men, who embrace diversity in decision-making settings. Finally, I like that this article underscores the importance of women supporting one another, as well as extending that support to anyone embracing a feminist perspective, regardless of gender. It's a reminder of the power of cooperation and solidarity over competition, fostering a more inclusive and harmonious environment for all.
Stumbled upon this interesting blog that eloquently puts into words my personal journey... It's a candid reflection on navigating through years of internalized patriarchal norms. Sharing and reading this piece not only validates my experiences but also underscores the importance of standing against such pervasive behaviors. A must-read article: https://lnkd.in/dZ6jURmH

So many professional women in their 40’s and 50s have asked me... “𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙢 𝙄 𝙙𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜?” ....causing them to stay stuck in a role they don’t love and without the rewards or recognition they want. Sadly, many make the mistake of thinking the solution is to work harder. And that’s just backwards. Lack of commitment or effort is never the problem. After interviewing dozens of highly regarded successful female leaders, I’ve seen a clear pattern of what it takes to be successful at a more senior level. So, I’m thinking about putting together a simple free guide that outlines what successful female leaders do differently... to those who remain stuck, unhappy or undervalued. Would that be of interest to you?? Comment “𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨” below and if I get enough interest, I’ll make it happen.

What do you see in this photo? 💥 A confident powerful woman, right? 💥 A woman who believes 1000% in herself and what she has to bring to the world, right? 💥 A woman who looks very ready to give a speech to 100 executives from one of the world’s largest companies, right? Right. However .. ❌ I have not always had this level of confidence. ❌ I have not always believed in myself. ❌ I have not always been ready to speak to 100 women about how to access and express power. It's something I have learned to do. ⭕ I have cultivated my self-confidence. ⭕ I have cultivated my belief in myself. ⭕ I have cultivated my readiness. ✅ I can train you to do the same. ✅ I can train you to embody a power that transcends language, age and aesthetic. I’m talking about a silent quality you carry with you that people can sense before you even open your mouth. I’ve heard this quality called many things ... ⭐ Executive Presence ⭐ Inner Consistency ⭐ Embodied Congruence In recent years I have learned that this quality is the foundation of being seen and heard on your own terms. It is the foundation of fulfilling your absolute most authentic potential. It’s the foundation of freedom. My name is Sarah Jane and I get female leaders who speak ESL seen and heard on their own terms. It would be an honour to be of service to you too. #authenticleadership #redefiningpower #femaleleadership #confidence #englishforbusiness

What does it take to be a woman leader? • Resilience to overcome challenges and persist in the face of adversity. • Authenticity to lead with integrity and inspire trust through your true self. • Courage to break barriers, take risks, and claim your space in rooms where you may not always feel welcomed. Being a woman leader means navigating spaces where your voice might not always be the loudest but ensuring it is the most impactful. #linkedin
