So good to see more support being made available for Adaptation Mission Charter Signatories to help them develop their adaptation plans.

We have done it 🎉 Well, we've put up the scaffolding at least! Last week we delivered our final workshops in the first phase of the Scottish Climate Intelligence Service 🎯 56 local officers from 30 Scottish local authorities (!) attended our January workshops on "How To: Input Your Interventions". This training centred on providing guidance for our user group on how to input 'interventions' onto the ClimateView platform: the final step before local authorities publish their dashboards over the coming months 👀 As a reminder, 'interventions' are the how of climate mitigation action: the set of actions, policies and projects taken in order to close the gap between where we want to be and where we are now. These workshops centred on demonstrating the key information needed to upload a complete intervention onto ClimateView, with explanation and demonstration led by Programme Director Clare Wharmby and Local Lead Michael Seaword. Our local authority users then had dedicated time to input interventions in collaboration with the SCIS team, populating the platform while working through any questions or challenges encountered so far. The AnyWay symposium on climate resiliency for transport infrastructure, held on April 17th in Manila, brought together representatives of all stakeholders: government, international banks, non-governmental organizations, private sector contractors, academics, the International Road Federation (IRF Global), industry professionals and media. All were aligned in clearly stating the vital importance of climate resiliency to the sector. By bringing together leaders from all these groups to its one-day symposium, AnyWay demonstrated its holistic approach to climate resiliency beyond mere engineering. Policy making, sharing advanced technologies and techniques, capacity building and broader awareness are all necessary elements that are critical to creating climate resiliency.
