New in Health Services Research from Daniel A Asfaw, Megan Price, Kristina Carvalho, MSW, Steve Pizer, and me: We examined over 3 million specialty care referrals in the VA to evaluate the impact of the VA's 2019 Referral Coordination Initiative on community care referrals and waiting times. We did not observe an effect of the RCI on waiting times or community care referral rates. Our findings do not support concerns that RCI might be impeding Veterans' access to community care providers. https://lnkd.in/eQkBNHUg #Veterans #VHA #accesstocare
