With the current focus on rollups in Ethereum, we will see thousands of them in the future, including both general-purpose and app-specific rollups. These rollups rely on Ethereum for security by settling their blocks on it and in future these rollups would start using Data Availability solutions like Avail DA or a Data Availability Committee on Ethereum. Increasing the number without fundamentally improving how these systems work together will complicate things further. Solutions like Avail Nexus try to solve this issue, where proof aggregation plays a significant role. https://lnkd.in/e6bR297u

#News #defi #SpaceandTime #ZKProver Space and Time Launches Sub-Second ZK Prover, Proof of SQL: A new high-performance ZK prover has been released by California-based crypto business Space and Time to boost defi growth and on-chain transactions. A custom-built compute layer called Space and Time (SxT) made its sub-second zero-knowledge (ZK) prover stack, known as Proof of SQL, publicly available. A small number of SxT clients were first given access […] The post Space and Time Launches Sub-Second ZK Prover, Proof of SQL appeared first on Coinscreed.

Ethereum Execution Layer Call #202 💡 Yesterday, the Ethereum community held the Core Devs call surrounding the latest on the Execution Layer (EL). These upgrades continue to show us what we can expect in Pectra, as well as other EIP developments. Here’s what you need to know. 👇 Pectra updates (3.50 to 6.01) - Mekong testnet still live, based on Pectra devnet-4 specs - teams still working on devnet-5 specs - ETH R&D Interrop chat - kurtosis configs for Besu and Teku - able to produce blocks post Pectra with devnet-5 specs including 6 blobs as max; lodestar close to being ready Pectra spec finalization (6.20 to 28.08) EIP-7742 replacement (6.25 to 8.20) - per CL call last week decision to drop EIP-7742 from Pectra, solution is adding blobs to EL config files - will target devnet-6 EIP-7702 - Set EOA account code (8.22 to 15.36) - removing chain_id is more involved than initially thought, decision was made to continue with initial proposal to change to u256 and do more work later - will be included in devnet-5 EIP-2537 - Precompile for BLS12-381 curve operations (15.36 to 21.43) - Gas pricing MAP, MUL and ADD operations - Gas pricing pairing operations - MSM gas repricing - Remove redundant MUL precompiles - currently have two operations with the same cost that do the same thing - these will be included in devnet-5 EIP-2935 - Serve historical block hashes from state (21.53 to 26.47) - Update EIP-2935: bring up to date with sys contract impl EIPs#9144 - result of audit on a handful of contracts, the changes bring more into line with the rest of the contracts - will be included in devnet-5 EIP-4444 Rollout Plan (28.08 to 38.59) - support for pre-merge data from EL clients can no longer be assumed, target of May 1, 2025 - bump in eth protocol version - new version can go live anytime between now and May 1, 2025 - no resolution on this - moving to Eth R&D Discord - history expiry channel Decoupling gas price from payload size consensus-specs#4064 (39.00 to 55.52) - result from discussion on last week’s CL call - GOSSIP_MAX_SIZE of 10 MiB is blocking ability to increase the gas limit much beyond 30M; discussion on CL call was to increase GOSSIP_MAX_SIZE to 15 MiB - GOSSIP_MAX_SIZE is related to spam protection - potential solution involves core devs capping the block size and the community to hard cap the gas limit, keeping these two separate - conversation on this to continue, with goal of resolution in next few weeks Other EIPs discussion (55.56 to 1.10.22) - Reverting removal of NewBlock(Hashes) in eth/69: Update EIP-7642: don't remove NewBlock(Hashes) EIPs#9133 - EIP-7503 Feedback Request - EIP-7808: Reserve Tx-Type Range for RIPs - will move from draft to next stage - EIP-4803: Limit transaction gas to a maximum of 2^63-1 agenda (with links): https://lnkd.in/gmTFWABH recording: https://lnkd.in/gNbShFNR

The underlying truth about on-chain data is that it lies within smart contract storage, with more and more apps moving away from events ↔ SendBlocks' Platform enables real time access to smart contracts storage using a human readable interface (via a dedicated static analysis tool) 📦 Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/dUua2nfQ #web3 #storage

I've been researching about the upcoming EOF(Ethereum Object Format) upgrade to the EVM. EOF provides a defined structure to Ethereum Smart Contracts. EOF brings more efficiency and upgradeability to the EVM. For a more detailed explanation, see my article on EOF #web3 #ethereum #smartcontracts #crypto https://lnkd.in/gw4Vm2vt
