This month, we're supporting the Movember movement – prioritising the three biggest health issues facing men: mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Men are dying on average 4.5 years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons: 🔹A growing number of men – around 10.8M globally – are facing life with a prostate cancer diagnosis. 🔹Globally, testicular cancer is the most common cancer among young men. 🔹Across the world, one man dies by suicide every minute of every day, with males accounting for 69% of all suicides. 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵, and while early detection is crucial, the emotional battles faced by those with breast cancer are often overlooked. Everyone experiences challenges differently, and being strong in one area doesn’t mean we don’t need support in others. If you or someone you love is fighting this battle, remember that what we say and do matters. Offering compassion and mental support can be just as important as the medical care they receive. Take time to not only learn about the disease but also how to care for their emotional well-being. Let's be mindful, supportive, and present for those who need us. #BreastCancerAwareness #MentalHealthMatters #SupportAndCare

Let’s be real. The world is a pretty tough place right now. Want to inject some fun into things? Want to make a real impact on men’s health? The moustache is calling people. Have fun, do good. Mobilize your workplace for men’s health this Movember. Me and my moustache are fortunate to do this for a living, so I can tell you the impact is real. $18 million committed for Indigenous men’s health over the next 5 years. $6 million for prostate cancer efforts this year, in places most orgs don’t want to go - health equity, sexual health, personalized care. A foundational deep dive research report into the state of men’s health in Canada coming in June 2025. We are helping men live longer, healthier, happier lives. And we can’t do it without you. #menshealth #mensmentalhealth #prostatecancer

Cancer is a disease that not only affects the physical health of an individual but also takes a toll on their mental health. The journey of cancer, from diagnosis to treatment and even after recurrence, can be emotionally turbulent. During these challenging times, it's crucial to remember that you're not alone. It's essential to seek support, reach out to your loved ones, and prioritize your well-being. At Collaborative Cancer Care, we believe that cancer care should address not only the physical but also the emotional and psychological aspects of cancer. Our goal is to work with individuals and their families to provide comprehensive care that improves their quality of life. We understand the importance of mental health in cancer care and strive to create a supportive environment where patients can feel heard, understood, and cared for. Together, we can raise awareness about the importance of mental health in cancer care and help individuals and families affected by cancer. #collaborativecancercare #cancerawareness #MentalHealthAwareness #oncologymentalhealth

Do we ever ask ourselves what happens after the Bell Let a talk day, Mental Health Awareness week and when we turn the page of the calendar to Dec each year. I do. Can those who have access to evidence that these initiatives actually change the outcome, please share? Awareness is a start but then what. #supportyourpeople
