Can we improve the customer experience with a simple coat hook? Definitely! This week, I took some time off with my family. We went to a holiday park in The Netherlands, known for its gigantic swimming pool 🇳🇱 The park mainly targets families, and thus some of the changing rooms were made especially for them. They’re a bit larger and more comfortable, which is warmly welcomed when you’re a family of four with younger kids. But, the changing room had only two coat hooks. Two. For four people. Or more of you’re a larger family. The two coat hooks were attached to the wall, about 1,80m above the ground. You can already imagine the struggle 😅 Want to improve the customer experience? Add two or three coat hooks. Put them about one meter high, so kids can put their own clothes on it. Kids happy, parents happy. When managing the CX, the devil is in the details. So yes, we can improve the CX with coat hooks. And you know what’s the best of it all? It doesn’t cost a lot. #CustomerExperience #CX #CustomerService Kalepa

Two heads are better than one! 'The Mission' – what does our shopping trip look like? What does the experience feel like? What do we focus on to do the right thing? Getting it right for customers, all our customers. Great spending time with Bekki Dare today looking at exactly this. Customer experience means many things, the shopping trip, the service, the culture and behaviours of colleagues. It also means looking at the physicality and layouts of stores, which leads nicely onto how inclusive and accessible the journey is. How do we talk about this to champion change in this area? Every little change is a stepping stone towards getting it right so it becomes ‘an everyday easy experience’. This is leading an accessible and inclusive experience for all our customers. Today Bekki and I did exactly this – sharing ideas, thoughts, objectives and what we can work on collaboratively to help make positive improvements for all. We are both ‘customer experience’ but with different perspectives, we each wear a different pair of customer lens, with the same objective – the customer. Important to take time out to talk, walk and do this – two heads are better than one!
