ARCHES report finds failure to include community organisations in health system design is stifling progress in tackling health inequalities A new report, released by ARCHES (Arts and Culture in Health Ecosystems) has found that although community organisations can reach people, statutory services often fail to as they are usually "missing in health and wellbeing strategies". More than half of the global economic burden attributable to non-communicable disease are related to mental ill-health (1). The most recent Health at a Glance report shows that pandemic in conjunction with the associated economic crisis caused a growing burden on the mental well-being of European citizens (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (2). The EUPAG-DS project will deliver systematic and organized data on the impact of physical activity and exercise on depression disorders to public health services and the scientific field. This includes recommendations regarding how European adults can engage in Health-enhancing physical activity (HEPA) to achieve better health outcomes concerning depressive symptoms.
