🚀 I just returned from the Data and AI event in Paris (with my wonderful colleagues from Globant : Dan Deusan, Karim Issoufou, Aline MIRTI MANCINELLI, Cornel FATULESCU) , and it was a refreshing change of pace. Unlike Vivatech, where the spotlight often shines on flashy AI applications, this event focused on the core element: DATA. It was encouraging to see genuine expertise from the participants, making the discussions quite enlightening. 🙌 👨🎓 I also noticed a significant presence of students and companies primarily there for recruitment. This highlights a growing recognition of the skills needed in this domain and the importance of attracting fresh talent to drive innovation forward. 💥 🧐 However, I did find some challenges at the stands. The value propositions from various companies were not always clear, which can be a common issue when technical subjects are presented by sales teams. It sometimes felt like deciphering a complex puzzle! 🤔 Additionally, the abundance of competing solutions was notable. It raises the question of how this landscape will evolve—will the market consolidate, or will we continue to see a myriad of options? What are your thoughts after attending to this event? 🌟A Tech Feria @ TCS Uruguay We recently completed a Tech #LearnFest in TCS and @TCS LATAM we had an amazing version! The edition of Tech#LearnFest at TCS Uruguay has many things relatable to a féria in Uruguay. Just as you would wander through a bustling féria, sampling the local crafts, foods, and cultures, the Tech#learnfest participants explored a vast array of technical competencies, each with its own unique flavor. Some sessions were like the most popular stalls at the féria, crowded with curious minds eager to delve into the world of Cloud Gen AI DevOps. These technologies, much like the festival’s main attractions, drew large audiences, eager to learn and engage with the latest trends and best practices. Yet, the true essence of both a féria and the Learnfest lies in their diversity. Even the quieter corners, like our sessions on Alteryx and Informatica, offered rich insights and specialized knowledge. These sessions may have drawn smaller crowds, but they provided a deep, focused exploration of areas critical to the IT landscape. Ultimately, our Learnfest was a celebration of the entire spectrum of technology—an event where every participant could find something that resonated with their interests and career goals. I earlier had a delusion that AI results will be all the same,but it depends on what prompts you give.I asked Chatgpt to relate my techfest with feria 😊 Towards the end of the session Anand mentioned, AI may or may not replace people BUT people with knowledge of AI are more likely to replace people who don't have that knowledge.!
