Climate change doesn’t take a break, and neither does climate action, if you don’t want it to! 🌍 While on vacation, #EUClimatePact photo competition winner Nika Veger and her family were shocked by the amount of rubbish they found on the beach. After daily shore cleanings they managed to collect more than 400 shoes and 15 bags of litter! 👣 Together, we can decide the footprint we leave on this planet. Taking climate action, such as changing consumption habits or reducing & repairing instead of replacing, will make a big difference between clean or plastic-ridden shores ♻️ For Nika, initiatives like the European Climate Pact allow people to push for positive change. It can start with you. Join the Pact today! ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dEh5VfxV #MyWorldOurPlanet

𝐖𝐡𝐲 "𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞" 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠. Arnold Schwarzenegger said it best: “As long as they keep talking about global climate change, they are not gonna go anywhere. 'Cause no one gives a s*** about that. So my thing is, let's go and rephrase this and communicate differently about it and tell people we're talking about pollution. Pollution creates climate change, and pollution kills.” How true! Moral preachings don’t work. We need to change how we talk about climate change. Focusing on pollution and leveraging these unique perspectives can make climate action more impactful and inclusive. In this article, I write about why people don't care about climate change anymore: https://lnkd.in/eZrBgt6X #ClimateChange #Pollution #Sustainability #Diversity #InclusiveCommunication

The need for action on climate change has never been clearer than it has in the past few years. As we witness extreme weather events, rising sea levels, and declining air quality, it's evident that the time for action is now. It is time to start talking about how the use of fossil fuels has adverse effects on human health, vulnerable regions and our planet as a whole. There's hope but we need to act together and act now, By raising awareness and taking proactive steps to reduce emissions, we can mitigate their impact and pave the way for a more sustainable future for generations to come. 🌍 Climate change affects all of us, and solutions start with individual action! At the Climate Change Summit 2024, we explored impactful ways to drive sustainability. One story shared by Kokou Agbo-Bloua really stood out—a hummingbird fighting a forest fire by carrying water, drop by drop. It reminded us that every effort, no matter how small, counts. Only together, we can make a difference. Let’s all do our part! #ClimateAction #Sustainability #ClimateChangeSummit2024

The super-rich are dining out on the planet, producing more carbon pollution in 90 minutes than the average person does in a lifetime. With their private jets, superyachts, and polluting investments, the super-rich are fuelling the climate crisis at a rate that is almost unimaginable. The rest of us are paying the price. Nakabuye Hilda Flavia, Marinel Ubaldo, RSW, Pavel Martiarena Huaman and Cynthia Houniuhi remind us why we must call for these rich polluters to be held accountable! It's time to #MakeRichPollutersPay to help tackle the climate crisis and build a fairer future. Demand climate justice. Share this film. #COP29
