📆 Ongoing : The Fifth Review Conference (5RC) of the Convention on the #Prohibition of the Use, Stockpiling, Production and Transfer of #Antipersonnel #Mines and on Their #Destruction is being held in Siem Reap, #Cambodia (25–29 November 2024). Last year, the States Parties agreed to elect Cambodian Senior Minister H.E. Ly Thuch, First Vice President of the Cambodia Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority as President of the Fifth Review Conference. Upon his election, H.E. Ly Thuch called upon the international community to seize the opportunity presented by the #Review #Conference to promote universalization of the Convention, implement Article 5 and assist mine victims, all which are part of #Cambodia's priorities for its #presidency.
