A few years ago, when I started Dynamic Simulation, I never imagined we’d reach this level, let alone form a partnership with the University of Toronto. I’m incredibly proud to announce that Dynamic Simulation is now officially partnered with the Supplemental Emergency Medicine Experience (SEME) Program through the University of Toronto, Department of Family and Community Medicine! SEME is committed to advancing medical education in rural and community hospitals while supporting the recruitment and retention of physicians in these essential areas. MUST READ THIS - if you work in an Aged Care Facility or Hospital??? I am thrilled to announce our partnership with Charles Darwin University in launching the world’s first Retrofit Bidet Clinical Trial, based on Users and Carers in Aged Care and Hospital. https://lnkd.in/ekbZsKH6 This ground breaking study aims to evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, practicality, and effectiveness of bidets as an alternative to traditional manual post-voiding cleaning for patients, professional carers, and nurses in hospitals, homes, and aged care settings. Our research seeks to address the current gap in knowledge by exploring how electronic bidets can support patients with toileting limitations and assist staff in providing daily intimate personal care, addressing both their mental and physical care. We are inviting your facility to participate in this de-identified study, which will involve regular use of the bidet and completing an online questionnaire. Both users and carers will provide feedback on the ease of use, benefits, and limitations of the bidet. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions regarding your involvement in this project. Participation is voluntary. For full details and to register your facility, please visit Retrofit Bidet Clinical Trial. After registration, the InteliCorp team will guide you through the next steps. https://lnkd.in/ekbZsKH6 Alternatively - Contact Craig, our Bidet Evangelist Extraordinaire, at Trade1@intelicorp.com.au write “Clinical Trial” in the subject line. Thank you for considering participation in the Retrofit Bidet Clinical Trial. I look forward to working with you, your facility, and your participants. #bidet #ACCPA #OTNZ #OTAUS #ATSA #ATSNZ #GCHF #agedcare #hospital #rehab #happiness #thebidetshop #bidets

From heartwarming patient stories to life-changing medical breakthroughs During a conversation, I asked an Internal Medicine resident if he would like to become a medical influencer. He replied that his priority is to save patients' lives rather than become a TV doctor. The resident believed that a doctor's actual test lies not in their theoretical knowledge or ability to work long shifts or impress their superiors to attain good grades but in their ability to save their patients' lives. Throughout our observership, we've interacted with many residents from IM, FM, ER, and surgery and learned there's no shortcut to becoming a great doctor. We've noticed that all successful attending physicians and residents are not medical influencers; instead, they see themselves as teachers who bear the weight of responsibility. Over the past two weeks, our observation has taught us much about being an extraordinary physician. We've realized that it requires hard work, dedication, and the ability to handle critical cases, comfort patients' families, maintain a balanced personal life and strive for self-improvement. We were deeply impressed by the level of acuity of patients in the level one trauma center in South Texas at DHR Health and the incredible efforts that go into saving their lives. We witnessed Code Blues, where multiple teams worked together to save the patient's life, using cutting-edge techniques such as ECMO, transplants, and cardiothoracic surgeries. It reminds us of the importance of valuing every life. #USMLE #USMLEPrep #Step1 #Step2 #Step3 #USCE #OET #ECFMG #clinicalrotations #observership #electives #interview #residency #internalmedicineresidency #clinicalelectives #MATCH2025 #MATCH2024 #DHRhealth #internalmedicine #residencymatch #nrmp #CCU #medicaleducation #medicine
