Eurasian Resources Group’s Post

We are very pleased to announce that at the 2024 EFMD Global Excellence in Practice Awards in London, Eurasian Resources Group Corporate University has won gold in the ‘Professional Training’ category – the first Kazakh institution to receive such a recognition. 40 leading companies, including Google, KPMG, Bayer & IMD, also participated in the contest. At the awards, Eurasian Resources Group presented their winning entry: simulators developed by OPEREX LLP which have been introduced into the professional training of dump truck drivers at ERG’s production facilities. The simulator software has been programmed to replicate an operating mining enterprise – various routes, road features in different weather conditions - which significantly increases the effectiveness of training and allows drivers to practice navigating emergency situations. The system, which works around the clock, offers a comprehensive solution to improve safety, reduce operational costs and increase productivity. Moreover, the training program also reduces carbon emissions through significant fuel savings and reduced tire consumption. Thank you to our colleagues in Kazakhstan: Акмарал Найзабекова, Valentina Satarova and Ruslan Izmukhambetov for their invaluable efforts, dedication and contributions to this project. More information about the University is available here: https://lnkd.in/eZx6zkAn Innovation is key to sustainable development, and we are proud of our role in further increasing efficiencies and driving digitalisation and sustainable development in the metals and mining sector.

👷 Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), a diversified mining and metals company, has established the ERG Corporate University, which developed a training programme for heavy-duty vehicle drivers aimed at improving operational efficiency, safety, and reducing environmental impact. Using advanced simulators, drivers train in realistic settings, improving skills and reducing fuel consumption, tyre wear, and emissions. This initiative, driven by ERG’s commitment to sustainability and innovation, enhances both workplace safety and environmental protection. The programme demonstrates how aligning corporate education with business goals can lead to substantial operational and ecological gains. In the 15th edition of the Global Focus Magazine supplement on Excellence in Practice (EiP), we examine how these training programmes shape the future of global resource extraction industries. 🏆 Learn more: ╰┈➤bit.ly/GF-ERG Matthew Wood, OPEREX, Martin Moehrle, PhD, Florence Grégoire, Shanshan Ge 葛姗姗, Steven Smith, Natálie Altınçizme #EFMDGlobalFocus #EFMDeip #EFMDCorporateservices #bestpractice #corporatelearning
