The Final Meeting of the Joint Action on Networks of Expertise (JANE) was successfully concluded in European Parliament on September 25th with the participation of more than 100 project members. We discussed the progress that has been made in shaping the seven NoEs and the challenges regarding the synergies with other networks. From 29-31 May, our team joined the 2024 HIMSS Europe Conference (#HIMSS24Europe) held in Rome, Italy. This conference brought together health professionals, scientists, experts and policymakers, among others, on a thought-provoking discussion on tomorrow’s healthcare. 💡🔬   💬 In a panel discussion on the next steps of the European Health Data Space (#EHDS) legislation, Gozde Susuzlu Briggs (EPF’s Senior Programme Manager) highlighted the benefits of EHDS for patients, healthcare professionals and public health, and stressed the need to ensure inclusive implementation.     💬 Valentina Strammiello (EPF’s Director of Strategic Initiatives) joined a discussion on the role of digital portals for patients. EUROCAM as a non-state actor of World Health Organization (WHO) EURO will participate in the 74th session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe, on 29-31 October in Copenhagen. We are pleased to announce that our EUROCAM Chair, Elisa Baldini, and EUROCAM representatives Dora Pachova MD, Cristal Skaling-Klopstock MBA FFHom(Hon) FSHom(Hon), Natalia Tzima, Tido von Schoen-Angerer, MD, MPH and Denis Koshechkin will join the meeting. “The event will provide an opportunity to tackle priority health challenges, including the next steps in improving access to novel medicines; building resilient and sustainable health systems; operationalising One Health, as well as nominate the WHO Regional Director for Europe for the 2025-30 period. ” Dr Kluge, Regional Director, WHO. EUROCAM’s aim at this meeting will be to follow the important exchanges on health in the EURO region, and in particular on building resilient and sustainable health systems, to which we firmly believe Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Healthcare (TCIH) can give an immense contribution.
