Engaging discussions and presentations showcased UTS's cutting-edge research in circularity—covering areas like textile waste reuse from hospitals, algae-based dyes, and pioneering circular business models. The visit included a tour of their impressive facilities, deepening our insights into sustainable practices in fashion. The afternoon was dedicated to meeting The Schneider Group at one of Australia’s premier wool auctions, where much of the high-end wool supply for European brands is sourced. The team exchanged insights on the wool value chain and discussed promising avenues for collaboration within Europe. The day concluded with travel to Melbourne, paving the way for tomorrow's engagements.
