Effective communication can act as the foundation of success within one's business, from an individual level to the voice of the company and the brand itself. I vividly remember Mark Scott, a sales leader with an impressive ability at identifying both business and personal customer priorities, paraphrasing #StephenCovey's guidance with his own relationship knowledge: "Attentive listening is not waiting to speak." In the classic Discovery Phase of determining pain, needs, objectives of one's prospect, all too often sales people are asking questions, but not truly listening. There is an anxiousness to prematurely get to the demo, the product details, what they think is "the pitch." Truly listen, empathize, clarify with context. Do your research and be prepared coming in. When you speak, focus on adding value to your prospect's needs and pain.

| DRIVING OBJECTIONS | In the dynamic world of SALES and POSITIONING, adeptly navigating OBJECTIONS is crucial. Each OBJECTION presents an OPPORTUNITY to engage, understand, and ultimately PERSUADE. Understanding the psychology behind OBJECTIONS is essential. By actively listening and empathizing, we can tailor responses to address specific needs and alleviate doubts. Effective OBJECTION HANDLING is a testament to CREDIBILITY and EXPERTISE, setting us apart from the competition. It requires ADAPTABILITY and CREATIVITY, as each OBJECTION is unique. Ultimately, mastering OBJECTION HANDLING is about building lasting RELATIONSHIPS. By addressing concerns and providing SOLUTIONS, we foster TRUST and LOYALTY beyond the sale. By embracing OBJECTIONS as OPPORTUNITIES and tailoring responses to meet prospect needs, we drive SALES and build enduring RELATIONSHIPS. ⚜ 𝚅𝙰𝙻 𝙱𝚁𝙸𝚉 ⚜ ° 𝙲𝚘𝚛𝚙𝚘𝚛𝚊𝚝𝚎 𝙲𝚘𝚖𝚖𝚞𝚗𝚒𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 ° 𝙱𝚞𝚜𝚒𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜 𝙴𝚗𝚐𝚕𝚒𝚜𝚑 ° 𝙲𝚘𝚛𝚙𝚘𝚛𝚊𝚝𝚎 𝙸𝚖𝚊𝚐𝚎 𝙾𝚙𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚒𝚜𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 ° 𝚆𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 & 𝙴𝚍𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 | 𝚟𝚊𝚕𝚋𝚛𝚒𝚣.𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚖𝚞𝚗𝚒𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗@𝚐𝚖𝚊𝚒𝚕.𝚌𝚘𝚖 | #Sales #BusinessCommunication #Corporate #Communication #Coaching #Marketing #Selling #Positioning

Had an intriguing conversation with a prospect who suggested just being yourself on calls without adapting. Adaptability is key to effective communication. Understanding and adjusting to others' styles can lead to better connections and outcomes. What's your take on this balance? #Sales #Communication #beingauthentic #Humanticai

May I use your permission to do X Is very different from…. Will you give me permission to do X? Different words. Different Frames. But SAME INTENT. And even though the intent is the same, the response elicited will be quite different. Words Matter. How words are framed matters most. They matter because it creates a safe space for your listener. It makes them want to listen to you, open up, engage in a meaningful discussion, and comply with your call-to-action. Take these two sentences for instance on a sales call... "If I could show you how to save $500 using an automated system, would you be interested”? ❌ "How important is price to you when it comes to X? What if there was a way to save $500 while also getting [key benefit]?" ✔️ Both questions have the same intent.. But the former is closed-ended, unintentionally putting the prospect on the defensive and leaving little room for dialogue... Then… You might as well start struggling with the sale. Words and framing are powerful tools. They shape the experience and influence the outcome. Whether you're selling.. negotiating.. or simply conversing… Thoughtfully crafting your language can make all the difference in fostering a receptive and collaborative environment. Now that I think about it, effective communication is truly an art. You know, Every syllable utilized with purpose and every pause lined with intent. Tell me. How do you practice effective communication? #customerpsychology #Sales #Communications

🔎 A shout out for precise and binding communication 💬 Many of us experience in our daily lives how important precise and binding communication is: ❌ a feature that doesn't do what the customer wanted 🤯 the different meaning of "done" from a developer's perspective and from a sales representative's perspective 🤷♀️ a meeting, the written summary of which no one can do anything with 2 weeks later; especially not if you weren't there at the appointment yourself ❓ phrases in a strategy update that leave far too much room for interpretation 🔤 texts full of abbreviations that you can only understand if you've been in the industry for 10 years There are many reasons to devote more time to the topic of communication - and we have done that. As a little “warm-up experiment” at the team workshop. The results are impressive and don't you think that we have a few real artists among us 😬 What do you do to improve communication in your company? #Communication #Optimization #TrainingWithFun #TeamWork

True communication begins with establishing meaning and understanding. Effective communication goes beyond merely speaking and hearing; it requires both parties to engage in a deeper exchange that fosters real understanding. As one insightful perspective reminds us, “The purpose of communication is neither to speak nor to listen, but rather to achieve greater understanding between people. Speaking and listening are means, not ends. When people feel better because they ‘spoke their mind’ or ‘heard him out,’ they may inadvertently communicate messages they don’t truly intend.” This is why “the voice of the customer” is crucial. A salesperson burdened by biases and preconceived notions risks overlooking opportunities to grasp their customer’s most pressing pain points. This often leads to pushing agendas, lowering prices, and compromising margins. Conversely, when a salesperson prioritizes understanding the meaning behind a customer’s challenges, desires, and needs, they can genuinely create value in that relationship. Are you prioritizing understanding in your conversations, or are you simply waiting for your turn to speak? #Communication #Understanding #Sales #CustomerExperience #ValueCreation

How important is pronunciation in sales? IT's everything! Great communicators know the tonal shifts, correct pronunciation of words, and the use of pauses that separate them from the average salesperson. Listen to Obama or John F Kennedy speak, that’s delivery! Perception is reality, and how you speak influences how people perceive you. People form opinions about you in milliseconds. What's your opinion of the writer who sends you an email, littered with spelling and punctuation mistakes? Wouldn't it make sense to maybe practice this...a lot? Just like Oscar-winning actors, sales professionals must practice delivering their lines with natural ease. Training the telemarketing team at Namoli, we practiced saying particular words in the script many times because the way certain words are spoken can have a huge impact on whether the person will listen and give you the time or hang up. Usually, there's no second chance to reengage with the client. What’s the ROI? Huge, in some cases as much as 45% in 3 months. It’s worth working on this area. Sales craft is a continual improvement process. There’s a saying, "amateurs practice until they get it right, experts practice until they can’t get it wrong!" The way to become the best you can be is to practice the right areas. Contact me if you’re interested in looking for specific training for presentation skills. Communication is the cornerstone of building relationships and achieving success in both personal and professional spaces. Among the 7 C's of Communication, Concreteness is pivotal in ensuring your message is understood clearly and leaves no room for ambiguity. Here's why concreteness matters and how to incorporate it into your daily communication: Why Concreteness Matters Clarity and Trust: Specific messages backed by examples, data, or facts build trust and confidence in the receiver. Reduced Misunderstanding: A concrete message minimizes confusion and ensures everyone is on the same page. Better Retention: Specific and vivid communication is more memorable than vague statements. How to Use Concreteness in Communication? Instead of saying, “The sales figures were great,” you could say, “Our sales increased by 25% in the last quarter, reaching ₹10 lakhs.” Avoid Vague Statements: Replace phrases like “We’ll address it soon” with “We’ll resolve this issue by Friday at 5 PM.” By embracing concreteness, you'll find that your messages become more impactful, persuasive, and action-oriented. Practice this first C today, and see how it transforms your interactions! 🚀 #communicationtips #7C #careerprep
