✅️ Yesterday I was present at the high-level political discussion with the key policy makers in Europe at the heart of European decision-making to discuss the to-do's to make Europe 'firesafe'. ⚠️ And there is a lot of work to be done to create a fire-safe(r) environment for the most vulnerable people, the elderly and children in society. 🤝 It is in any case a combination of efforts made by governments, Europe, industry and the citizens themselves. ⚠️ The most striking thing is that the most vulnerable in society live in the most unsafe homes and apartments, with -perhaps- the least access to preventive measures. They are therefore the ones who benefit most from all the efforts made in this regard. 🔥 Because 5,000 fatalities in house fires every year, which may still be an underestimation, is simply far too many! 🤝 So let's join forces and work towards a fire-safe society for everyone!
