🌍 We're excited to have kicked-off the Slovakian stakeholder meetings under the WEnnovate project! Sign up now to secure your spot at the second meeting in June: https://lnkd.in/dr_8Z_-c Last week we presented the preliminary findings of our research on the innovation ecosystem of deep tech and digital innovations in the energy transition in Slovakia. It was truly valuable to gather different perspectives from stakeholders across the quadruple helix. During the event, experts highlighted the challenges Slovakia faces not only in technological innovations, but also social and organisational ones. To prepare for the green energy transition, people and culture are central, with education and awareness building core to the changes required. Discussions ranged from the inherent challenges in Slovakia’s energy market which have resulted in a slow adoption of digital and data-driven innovations and low renewables penetration, through to the importance of leaders (public and private) setting an example for others in the sector to follow. Our partners in Hungary, the Netherlands and Ukraine are finding further insights from stakeholders in their respective regions. Based on this valuable feedback from the energy field experts, we will continue our research to present ecosystem maps later this year. As the next step, we will start co-creating action plans for 4 countries and a joint long-term programme for strengthening innovation ecosystems and incorporating deep tech and digital innovations into the energy transition process. #wennovate #energytransition #deeptech #digital #innovation #innovationecosystem
