Understanding ZOPA (Zone of Possible Agreement) is crucial in successful negotiations. ZOPA represents the range where two parties can find common ground in a deal. It exists between each party’s minimum acceptable outcome and maximum achievable goal. If your offer falls within this zone, a mutually beneficial agreement is possible. However, if the proposed terms lie outside the ZOPA, reaching a deal becomes difficult. To improve outcomes, always identify ZOPA early, focus on shared interests, and remain flexible. Mastering this concept is key to securing win-win solutions! #Negotiation #ZOPA #Leadership #BusinessSkills

📢 rasd just published my article on their blog titled 'A New Nationalisation Roadmap for The Region'. 🔵 I actually wrote this 10 years ago, however, a lot of what I address in the article remains relevant today. 🔵 I share what nationalisation in the GCC means in relation to a bigger picture for the Arab world, and a vision for the future of employment and empowerment. 🔴 Enjoy the read 🙂 BUT before that, I would like to leave you with a question. A question that was posed recently to me in a forum: ❓ Unemployment, underemployment and the lack of opportunities (employment or entrepreneurship) available to local talent in the Arab world is a persistent problem, what can be done immediately (2-5 years) to make significant progress on this issue? ✅ When you have the time, please check out my website: www.talibbinhashim.com to learn more about how I help people and businesses. #employment #empoweredyouth #GCC #Arabworld #UAE #humanresource #nationalisation #talentmanagement https://lnkd.in/eAyGH8AR
A case for local. Talib Hashim offers us his thoughts about a possible new nationalisation roadmap for the region. Read more about Talib Al Hashim's insights on our blog. https://lnkd.in/eQEahNMV Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants (AESC)

The evolution of elite athlete coaching offers powerful lessons for associations striving for high performance. Drawing parallels with the recent Paris Olympics, Martin Sirk, International Advisor for Global Association Hubs Partnership (GAHP), explores how associations can embrace global, inclusive approaches to innovation and inspiration. From under-resourced members to seasoned veterans, the key is to break down borders and learn from all. EFG International has indeed made significant leadership changes. Demis Stucki has been appointed as the new chief operating officer, succeeding Martin Freiermuth. Additionally, Ioanna Archimandriti, the global head of human resources, has joined the executive committee. Both Stucki and Archimandriti will report to Giorgio Pradelli, the CEO. These changes are part of EFG International's strategy to bolster its leadership team and support its growth ambitions. https://lnkd.in/gYXxvYSA

A culture of contrasts. That’s how I would describe the findings from our new Association CEO Index 2024. On one hand our association leaders are feeling positive and optimistic and reporting 89% job satisfaction, yet there is an underbelly of frustration bubbling away. Around 70% of leaders across Australia and NZ feel burnt out, frustrated and drained due to a lack of time, resources and budget. They feel torn in so many directions and the demands to represent a whole industry or profession are keeping them up a night. As their members face economic pressures, our leaders have this constant challenge of doing more for less, while keeping on top of ongoing regulatory changes. It certainly takes a special leader for association land. It was such a pleasure to produce this year’s Index in partnership with Australasian Society of Association Executives. The Index provides an analysis of data insights from across both countries along with indepth features of CEOs who told their personal and inspiring stories. Check out the video and links below to learn more. Many thanks to all the CEOs who took part in our research and also shared their stories with me.
We’re excited to announce the official launch of the Association CEO Index 2024! This morning at the AuSAE Conference & Exhibition (ACE) in Adelaide, Sarah Morgan from Bespoken Agency presented our inaugural Index report, bringing forward key insights from association leaders across Australia and New Zealand. Developed in partnership with Bespoken, the Index captures the real sentiments and challenges faced by association leaders today, offering invaluable data and perspectives that can help shape the future of our sector. Tune in to hear Sarah’s highlights from the launch and explore the full report here: https://lnkd.in/eyp5umZ3 #Bespoken #AuSAE #AssociationLeadership #AssociationCEOLeaders
