I am AKOUA KOFFI JEAN- MARIE VIANEY. I recent Graduate in nautical sciences at the Regional Academy of Maritime Sciences and Techniques, I followed theoretical courses disseminated by professionals of the sea and put into practice using a similator of navigation full-mission. I wand to broaden my horizons by putting my skills to use within your company during an internship. On December 2nd 2024, I visited different companies stands at the International Exhibition of Extractive and Energy Resources (SIREXE) held in Abidjan (Ivory Coast). During my time over there, I got many insights related to various operations within the oil and gas industry. Many thanks to #Cne. #Charles from #NORDERN #SHIPPING, who gave to me more information on Nordern. I learnt that, NORDEN Shipping Abidjan SARLU NORDEN, a Danish shipping company, has established a significant presence in Côte d’Ivoire. Its office in Abidjan, located at the Arc-en-Ciel Zone 4, serves as a hub for its operations in West Africa. The office is led by #Patrick #Assié, responsible for dry cargo in West Africa. In 2019, NORDEN opened its office in Abidjan, aiming to invest in Côte d’Ivoire’s maritime sector and West Africa as a whole. This expansion aligns with the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in Africa and grow its activities in the region. In October 2023, NORDEN, in collaboration with Orient’s Fond, launched a #scholarship program to support young maritime talent in Côte d’Ivoire and Gabon. This program offers full scholarships to study at the #Regional Academy of Maritime Sciences and Technology (ARSTM) in Abidjan, with the goal of training and employing local professionals in the maritime sector. Also thank to #GROUPEPROMAR_CI, Foxtrot, Kuy, Siemens Energy, and Côte d'Ivoire Drone in particular whom through their available personnel on-site took their time to explain what they do to attendees. I also enjoyed the learning spirit of Attendees especially Students from various Universities throughout the Country who were very keen asking many questions that were benefit for all of us. Government should take advantage to reconduct such event the upcoming year. Thank you #SIREXE.

Celebrating 1 Month as a 4-Time Graduate! As I reflect on the past month, I've been asked repeatedly, "How did you achieve 4 qualifications at such a young age, and in different majors?" 🤔 My answer is simple: commitment, planning, organization, discipline, and a positive attitude towards overcoming any obstacles. It wasn't an easy journey; I had to juggle between two cities and two countries. But with a proper plan and unwavering dedication, I stayed organized in every possible way, committed to my end goal. I faced challenges head-on, with a positive attitude towards the mission, knowing that each obstacle was a stepping stone towards my success. I learned that with determination and perseverance, anything is possible. I embraced the late nights of studying, the sacrifices made, and the moments of doubt, knowing that they were all part of the journey. Today, I stand proud as a 4-time graduate, a testament to the power of commitment, planning, organization, discipline, and a positive mindset. To everyone out there pursuing their dreams, remember that with dedication and a positive attitude, you can conquer any challenge and achieve your goals. Here's to celebrating milestones, big and small, and to never giving up on your dreams! #PossibleTillProvenImpossible #DreamBig Alumni and NUST Foundation NUST Namibia Satakunta University of Applied Sciences - SAMK Azule Energy Shell Shell Energy NAMCOR NAMIBIA SLB Halliburton NAMCOR NAMIBIA NAMDOCK

Not too long ago, we proudly organised and hosted our very own event: Maritime Career Days. During this two-day event, we engaged with first-year students from STC in Rotterdam (RMI), giving them a glimpse into the maritime industry and the opportunity to envision their future careers. Our goal? To show these young talents the exciting possibilities that await them in the maritime world. And guess what? It was a great success 🙌 By the end of the event, the students were curious, asked lots of good questions, and left the event with a better understanding of the industry. How did we make this happen? It was all thanks to the support from our amazing clients. A huge shoutout to A2B-online , Wärtsilä, FAIRPLAY TOWAGE Group, Seafox, Boskalis, and Rijkswaterstaat for stepping in to inspire the next generation. Their presentations, workshops, and boat visits left a lasting impression. 💡 Want to know more about what went down during the Maritime Career Days? Esbjerg - an attractive place to study 🎓 Yesterday, I had the pleasure of sharing my perspective on this topic at Education Esbjerg’s Partner event alongside Jesper Frost Rasmussen and Merete Jankowski. At TotalEnergies, we are committed to meeting the growing energy demand while reducing emissions. Our people are crucial in achieving this goal. Attracting and retaining talent from Denmark and internationally is essential for sustaining growth, innovation, and the energy transition. Some of our key initiatives include: ▶️ Continuous support for employee development, with a goal for all employees to spend at least five days a year on professional training. ▶️ Integrating student assistants and graduates as key part of our talent pipeline and work force. In Esbjerg, students assist us across various departments , and our 2.5-year graduate program supports young talents through assignments in different departments, including rotations in Esbjerg and abroad. ▶️ Active collaboration with educational institutions, school visits, career fairs, and mentorship programs. Partnering up with Education Esbjerg helps us support local initiatives that enhance Esbjerg's appeal as a place to live, work and study 🌍.

Thank you Irene Notias for reminding me once again about the hugely important Project-Connect in Greece, and also the vital role of getting more #seafarers to interact with society ashore. It reminded me that the #SeafarersHappinessIndex roundtables last year highlighted the urgent need to promote seafarers and their invaluable contributions to the maritime industry. Humanising shipping is seen as crucial— and by sharing seafarers' stories and cultural significance, we can build trust, respect, and empathy between ship and shore. Project-Connect aligns perfectly with these goals, offering seafarers opportunities to engage with students and discuss important topics like environmental protection. This not only enriches educational experiences but also instills pride in the seafaring community. Through internships and work-study programs, Project-Connect helps students gain vital experience while fostering interest in maritime careers. While initiatives, like the Adopt-a-Ship program, deepen understanding of seafarer life and encourage long-term engagement in the sector. This allows students to be connected with seasoned professionals, enhancing learning through valuable knowledge transfer. Plus, our online CV platform streamlines recruitment, linking companies with pre-screened candidates trained in essential skills. By participating, companies can enhance their ESG and CSR profiles, demonstrating a commitment to the future of the maritime industry. I would encourage all seafarers to get involved, and for companies to put their support behind it. See https://lnkd.in/ezPe_ytW for more details. #Shipping #BridgeBuilding #SeafarerWelfare #WorkforceDevelopment #Sustainability #FutureLeaders
