On June 1, Lufthansa used the Airbus #A380 to fly to #WashingtonDulles International Airport for the first time. With its debut in the US capital, the #Lufthansa A380 significantly increases the airline's capacity this summer season, in this region, with "one of the most technologically advanced and largest aircraft in the world" admits Lufthansa. With this flight, Lufthansa continues to expand its premium offering at its Munich hub, in particular with additional seats in Business and First Class. In addition to DC, Lufthansa is also flying its A380 aircraft to other US destinations, including #Boston, #LosAngeles and #NewYotk #JFK. I don't think I have ever read such kind words, and such high praise, from Lufthansa for its A380: "The Airbus A380 offers a unique combination of size, efficiency and passenger comfort. This extraordinary aircraft boasts impressive fuel efficiency , burning approximately 12% less fuel than other wide-body jets, while operating 30% less than current generation counterparts.” And these are not my words that you have read 😍 Airbus dusts off the project and let's put aside this absurd trend of small long-haul planes, which can be useful for routes where demand is low and compatible with the latter, but not for routes where demand is very high. https://lnkd.in/ewkcT44a Airbus Aircraft Lufthansa Group #lufthansagrouo Munich Airport #aircraft #airbusA380 #aviation #airlines #iconic #airbusaircraft #wetravelbiz Wetravel.biz #wetarvelaviation Wetravelaviation Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority

I am convinced that the #Airbus A380 is a wonderful #aircraft and that with technical updates, with a new version, it will still be able to make its important contribution to the aviation of the future, fewer #longrangeaircraft in flight and larger ones, it is one of the actions to be taken to make aviation "even more #sustainable". In just over a month there will be 6 Lufthansa Airbus A380s, operational again, which will be based in #Monaco, the second LH HUB, D-AIMB 2 days ago returned to flight from #Teruel where it was rested for more of 3 years, the last flights before the Covid-19 pandemic, after heavy maintenance it will fly to Munich (MUC) and D-AIMB is actually called “München” (Munich). For those like me who love this plane, it is always good news to know that an Airbus #A380 has been "awakened" and will return soon to bring millions of passengers between the clouds and the blue sky, the A380 is certainly an airplane " demanding” in terms of consumption, but no aircraft currently on the market offers the same spaces and the same versatility for the cabin configuration. This A380 does not have a suite, but is configured in 4 classes in the pre-#Allegris #Lufthansa configuration: composed of eight first class seats, 78 business seats, 52 premium and 371 economy class seats. https://lnkd.in/dbggTeRr Aeropuerto de Teruel TARMAC AEROSAVE Lufthansa Group Airbus Aircraft #aircraft #AirbusA380 #aviation #airlines #Airbusaircraft #wetravelbiz Wetravel.biz #wetravelaviation Wetravelaviation Munich Airport Lufthansa Technik

On May 19, Wizz Air turned 20, currently operating with a fleet of 206 Airbus, with a number of #Airbus #A321neos making it the first #Europeanairline in terms of number of aircraft of this type, positioning it almost on par with the its rival easyJet, as “potential” in terms of “capacity”. Each #AirbusA321neo has around 59 more seats than the #A320 and around 80 compared to the #A319, these two versions are the backbone of #easyJet, which for now has just over a dozen A321neo. With a quick calculation, with 153 A321s, Wizz Air can offer 9,945 more seats, which is equivalent to 55 Airbus A320s with a 180-seat configuration, to this it must be added that each #WizzAir aircraft flies at least 1 rotation (2 flights) daily in more than one easyJet person, even a non-expert, understands well how #Wizz is well positioned to compete with easyJet which has not yet recovered the pre-pandemic number of passengers and closed the first half of the year in #negative 🔻 . https://lnkd.in/dexhfq4d #airlines #aviation #wetravelbiz Wetravel.biz #wetravelaviation Wetravelaviation Andras Rado Tamara Nikiforova #airbus Airbus Aircraft

Airbus has delivered its first A321XLR to Iberia, making it the launch operator for this new long-range, single-aisle aircraft powered by CFM Leap 1A engines. Iberia will start with regional routes, including Madrid-Paris on Nov. 6, and will launch transatlantic service from Madrid to Boston on Nov. 14. The A321XLR offers Iberia flexibility to serve U.S. cities with demand that suits smaller aircraft while increasing frequency options. Iberia CEO Marco Sansavini praised the aircraft’s efficiency, enabling new destinations and better service for business travelers. Iberia expects a total of eight A321XLRs, with the next arriving by year-end. Aer Lingus will receive IAG’s other six A321XLRs next year and plans U.S. routes to Nashville and Indianapolis from Dublin. With a range of 4,700 nm and an 182-seat layout, the A321XLR fills the growing demand for long-haul, single-aisle flights. 🔗 More information: https://lnkd.in/dTqgbNwt

✈️✈️✈️[FLYING HIGH] What can we expect in the new Embraer jets used by Scoot? ✈️✈️✈️ The next time you fly to Koh Samui and Sibu from Singapore via Singapore Airline's low-cost carrier Scoot, an Embraer jet might be waiting for you at the gate. Embraer is a Brazilian aerospace company. It is also world’s third largest commercial aircraft maker after Airbus and Boeing. Founded half a century ago in 1969, Embraer has since delivered over 8,000 aircrafts. That translates to having one of its aircrafts taking off somewhere in the world every 10 seconds, we’re talking about mostly jets up to 150 seats serving regional routes. I spoke with Raul Villaron, Vice President, Asia Pacific, Embraer Commercial Aviation, where we discussed all about the business, ranging from revenue growth, expansion in Asia, what safety concerns surrounding its other industry player mean for the firm, and would developments surrounding its competitors push the firm to build larger planes to rival the two jet makers as what media reports had suggested in recent days. But first - what can we expect on the Embraer jets supplied to Scoot (through Azorra)? Hear from Raul directly in the video below! Do also tune in to our podcast with Raul out tomorrow! Review: Onboard The World's 1st Airbus A321XLR Flight With Passengers On November 6th, Iberia operated the world's first passenger Airbus A321XLR flight, with the aircraft EC-OIL, flying from Madrid Barajas Airport (MAD) to Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport (CDG). Simple Flying was lucky enough to make it onboard the first two flights, testing out the economy and business class cabins ahead of the aircraft's Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) debut later this month. This first article will look at the economy experience onboard the first flight. Boarding the brand new Airbus A321XLR For the first of my two flights, I traveled in the economy cabin, sitting in seat 41A. That's right, row 41 on a narrowbody. While the XLR has an extra long range, it is not longer than a standard A321. The aircraft appears to have so many rows because, after the seven rows of business class, the first economy row is number 21. The aircraft actually goes right back to row 48. As a oneworld Alliance Sapphire member, thanks to Royal Jordanian's status match promotion earlier this year, I was in boarding group 1. I arrived at the gate after boarding had started. However, I didn't have to queue to scan my boarding pass, but I did end up in a queue to get onboard the aircraft that extended back up the jet bridge. I did the maths, and the Airbus A321XLR has slightly more economy seats per aisle than Iberia's widebodies. It certainly felt like the aircraft took longer to fill than a widebody, though this could be a perception issue due to the smaller cabin. The flight stages are: Push back, starting up. Taxiing, Takeoff, Climbing, Cruise, Descending, Landing and Deplaning. In all flight phases, all passengers should follow the safety seat belt sign when it is on. However, I encourage that the passenger should be fastened in all stages for his safety.
