Introducing: a new method! We shared with you the 1260 trees our Green Team has planted this early spring. Out of hundreds, only 332 trees will rise to touch the sky as majestic adult trees! 🌳✨This is just over 25%... Survival of the fittest? Not really! These saplings thrive with tender, loving care. 🌿🌞 Our Green Team headed to Brittany's idyllic countryside, trimming grass (tough love) to rescue young trees. Ensuring they soak up plenty of sunshine and water. 🌳💧 Chasing our 100-acre dream requires a rethink—our current method just isn't cutting it anymore. Time for change! Growing a young forest is tough & pricey. But guess what? We're shaking up the tree-planting game! Next round, we're wielding a 30cm earth-driller, planting stronger, 8-year saplings. Survival rate? Our sustainability journey started in 2008, and it has steered how we build, use energy and water, manage neighbourhood waste and how we interact with people and businesses. We’ve understood that when we act from our better nature, nature gets better. Which is why we’ve launched Our Better Nature as a guiding mantra, for our pioneering sustainability efforts, and an exciting new experiential platform that invites collaboration and thought leadership. Commencing June – September 2024, we've planned a series of ocean- and nature-inspired experiences that celebrate all of Our Better Nature and inspire us to continue to improve. This uplifting programme includes a magical, after -dark entertainment programme at the Ocean Light Festival, After Dark concerts at the Two Oceans Aquarium, an immersive, ocean-inspired art route across the neighbourhood, and bundles of children’s holiday fun. The programme will also include events that highlight slow fashion as a way of being as well as sustainable seafood, encouraging a more conscious behaviour in consumption. It’s been another incredible year for Earthly! 2024 has been a pivotal year for us, marked by a recovering market and an unprecedented spotlight on nature and biodiversity. This year we’ve scaled up significantly, driving multi-million carbon tonne projects and we launched one of the first Voluntary Biodiversity Credit products to help accelerate investment into rewilding and biodiversity-focused projects. We’re well on track to achieving our ambitious mission of protecting and restoring at least 1% of the planet, that’s 150 million hectares of nature brought back to life. 🌿 As the year comes to a close, I want to thank our amazing team, valued customers and inspiring nature-based project partners. 🙏 You are Earthly and it’s your passion and dedication that enables the meaningful impact we create together.
