The European Union in Lesotho joined the commemoration of International Human Rights Day on 10 December. The European Union is unwavering in its commitment to the values enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law, and respect for human rights. These principles guide all our actions, both within Europe and beyond. In Lesotho, our partnership embodies these values. Together with the Ministry of Justice and Law, oversight bodies, and civil society, we strive to strengthen governance, improve justice systems, and ensure justice for all—leaving no one behind. This day also marks the conclusion of the #16DaysOfActivism against Gender-Based Violence, a campaign raising awareness of this universal violation of human rights. On the last day of the campaign, we renewed our commitment to end GBV by signing the pledge wall.
