A Legend from #RealSuccessSummit, #LesBrown says: “We might not get everything that we fight for, but everything we get, it will be a fight.” Local E-Government - Theory 🎓 About the course The main objective of this course is to empower local government administrators and other related stakeholders of digital government with knowledge and practical skills on but not limited to the following: Knowledge 1. The importance of local e-government services; 2. The role of local e-government in supporting efforts toward achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs); 3. Major challenges of local e-government; 4. Using emerging technologies for local e-government; 5. Practical ways policymakers can enhance local e-government services. 💃🏾 A fantabulous lady took the fight to me when she openly came for me on international stage ….. “greater heights darling 👏🏿👏🏿” Skills 1. Monitoring and evaluation of local e-government initiatives; 2. Assess local e-government portals and websites based on Local Online Service Index (LOSI); 3. Dealing with local e-government related challenges. From the greater heights of Cambridge, 🛰️ 💃🏾 It’s time to return a favour to the Gorgeous Queen of the South as she left me flabbergasted. 1. Local e-government survey 2020 findings (She activated me in style with all the NINE DIMENSIONAL LIFE) 2. Relative assessment efforts (e.g., Digital governance in municipalities worldwide, e-government municipal assessment project, and the Internet presence of the Portuguese municipalities) 3. Collaborative initiatives (UNESCO Creative Cities Network + UNESCO celebrates World Cities Day + Sharing cities initiatives, The European Platform for Intelligent Cities (EPIC), etc.) With 2030 fast approaching, #LeavingNoOneBehind - LNOB thus becomes a choice now!!! So let’s be guided and choose wisely otherwise it becomes our own cup of TEA !! Module 4: Local e-government challenges * Technical * Managerial/Organizational * Social * Political The box is a great symbol of classification as all words are labels on intellectual boxes. What box are you in? Because you can’t read the label when you are locked in the box!! Module 5: Local e-government in 2021 and beyond (Transformative trends in local e-government) “The easiest thing is to get under from the labels by practicing ONLY QUALITY PEOPLE - OQP” - #LesBrown towards SDGs Agenda 2030 and Africa Union 2063 Agenda.

We attended the seminar "Supporting a responsible digital transition for and with cultural heritage" organized by the European Heritage Hub We like to underline this relevant point: 📍Artificial intelligence should be a common good. Unfortunately, what is happening is exactly the opposite! This leads potential risks related to the exploitation of technological progress with consequences on sustainable, equitable and inclusive growth. #artificialintelligence #culturalheritage

🚨 New Publication Alert! 🚨 Our latest article on digital disconnection policies and regulations has now been published for open access! 📱 What’s it about? While an entire digital disconnection industry has emerged, evidence-based policies and regulations remain underdeveloped. Our study, based on in-depth interviews with 21 experts from organizations in Flanders, Belgium, explores the challenges of developing and implementing such digital disconnection policies across work, school, and family contexts. 🔍 Key findings: A digital disconnection policy paradox exists: while experts advocate for collective solutions, they often fall back on individual responsibility. This highlights a tension between expectations of personal autonomy and the need for systemic regulations. 💡 Why does this matter? Our findings call for a shift in the debate—from placing responsibility solely on individuals to creating more supportive institutional and policy frameworks for digital well-being. 📖 Open access link: https://lnkd.in/ecvJc9x6 Alice Verlinden Laura Lemahieu Lore Geldof Marthe Mennes Arturo Cocchi Marijn Martens Mariek Vanden Abeele School voor Sociale Wetenschappen UHasselt imec-mict-UGent Hasselt University #DigitalDisconnection #Wellbeing #PolicyResearch #DigitalMedia #AcademicResearch
