Up until now, black plastics is recyclable but waste sorting systems can’t recognize black pigments when carbon black is used as a pigment. But we’ve got great news for the #plastics #packaging industry! Plastic articles that are blacked by our UPM BioMotion Renewable Functional Fillers (RFF) can in fact be sorted by near-infrared (NIR) detection systems and represent a great alternative solution to help customers achieve their recycling targets and sustainability goals.
