As board members or directors, survivors can speak from personal experience to inform and influence policies at local, state, and national levels. Their voices bring urgency and clarity to issues surrounding trafficking, making advocacy efforts more compelling and grounded in reality. “Having survivors on boards isn’t just important—it’s necessary.
