Tune in this morning for an informational meeting hosted by the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission on large scale data center development in Minnesota. The Commission has assembled a broad and diverse stakeholder group to talk about some important topics related to data center development. At Ever-Green, we will continue to advocate for data center stakeholders to think about opportunities to recycle heat from data centers to heat buildings, a form of building electrification that ensures the electricity powering a data center is used to its fullest extent.
On Tuesday, October 29, the Commission is holding an informational meeting to learn more about large scale #datacenter development in Minnesota (also called hyperscale). The Commission will focus on topics within its jurisdiction, such as infrastructure planning, tariffed rates, compliance with state #carbonfree, and #renewable requirements. The Commission will hear from several organizations including Meta, Google, labor unions, environmental and energy advocacy groups, the Attorney General’s Office and multiple utilities. Meeting begins at 9 a.m. To learn more about the topics, speakers and how to view the livestream, visit our website. https://lnkd.in/gYbqw_px
