Did you know that adopting the Women Empowerment Principles is a continuous journey of six components? 1. Show your commitment to gender equality on the company profile page. 2. Activate all internal stakeholders to ensure that WEPs implementation is a whole-of-organization effort. 3. Put in place an organization-wide WEPs action plan for the workplace, marketplace and community. 4. Engage external stakeholders through the value chain. 5. Sustain your efforts by setting targets, and gathering and analyzing data against key performance indicators. 6. Report on key performance indicators on their WEPs company profile pages (Report).

Impressed to see all the hard work put into the ERIC Forum 2 Project task “Implementation of Gender Equality Plans and Gender Mainstreaming” resulting in such a valuable event! The task is a part of Work Package 9 “Capacity-building programme for ERICs personnel upskilling” and the ERIC Forum 2 Project is part of Horizon Europe and is receiving a grant from the European Research Executive Agency (REA). The Gender Equality efforts within the ERIC Forum are led by EATRIS ERIC’s Member Engagecer, Eliis Keidong and supported by Task Force Members Valentina Tegas, (EMSO ERIC ), Karin Börjesson (European Spallation Source ERIC), Panagiota Starida (CESSDA ERIC) and Julia Misersky, PhD (CLARIN ERIC). The next delivery is three online webinars which will take place this autumn targeting all ERICs personnel on gender equality topics, such as unconscious bias, workplace behaviour, and the sex and gender dimension in research. An important topic that reminds us that things that should be self-evident still not always are and that we have to continue to work actively towards our common goal. We're hosting the ERIC Forum #GenderEquality Workshop in Amsterdam this week. We’re delving into key themes around gender equality and diversity, reflecting on GEP practices and organisational cultures within our ERICs. From sharing success stories (and challenges) to discussing strategies for engaging more people and overcoming resistance, we’re gaining valuable tools and insights. Big thanks to our facilitator, Eva Eli Taxacher, for leading such engaging and thought-provoking sessions. Excited to continue this important work as we drive gender equality forward!
