Who we elect for U.S. President will make all the difference in the world for our planet and our people. https://lnkd.in/gVWUUrKD There’s still time to make a difference in the elections. Join the Sierra Club’s phone banking efforts (between now and Nov. 5th) to encourage Dem voters in Pennsylvania (a critical swing state) to get to the polls. Climate change is the #1 threat to our oceans as it is heating them up and acidifying them which will result in the loss of up to 90% of our ocean life: whales, dolphins, octopuses, coral reefs, fishes, and food for 2 billion people by 2045 (when ocean pH is expected to reach 7.95 a major tipping point): https://lnkd.in/gKR5ijuN And as we have all seen, the unnaturally warm ocean waters are spawning devastating hurricanes and rain and flooding events that are so catastrophic to so many people across the planet. Here’s what a second Trump presidency would mean for climate change: https://lnkd.in/gSPn6yj5 There is no greater threat to our oceans, planet, and people than climate change. And there is no greater action we can take than helping elect leaders that will take meaningful action on climate change today. Tomorrow is too late.

Check out our new punchy parody video demanding a BBC Question Time Climate Special! With an audience of 100 climate scientists, grilling Sunak and Starmer on climate crisis. Please share, and message the BBC here with this pre-written email: https://lnkd.in/eWUh-us6 Let’s make it a climate election 🔥 1) vote for candidates that support proper climate action 2) tell them that's why you're voting for them 3) stay on their case once elected! It will need massively sustained public pressure to deliver, in the face of fossil fuel influence. How? We recommend five smart election campaigns to support; ▶ Greenpeace UK - #ProjectClimateVote ▶ Zero Hour - Call on election candidates to back the Climate and Nature Bill ▶ MP Watch - Helping constituents hold MP's to account ▶ Possible - Calling on broadcasters to ensure main parties’ plans to meet our legal climate and nature targets are properly examined ▶ Political Primary Networks - Community-led political primaries to unite the progressive majority in safe Conservative seats ▶ Vote Climate UK - Maximise your vote to save the planet See our X and Insta for links to all these. #bbcqt #stonehenge #climatecrisis #election #generalelection Mark Maslin The Utopia Bureau Nick Oldridge Ben Carey

Want the BBC to cover more on climate for the election (and beyond?!). Here’s your chance to let them know! Climate change is the biggest threat facing us globally and nationally and impacts all of the other issues like healt, food security, cost of living, and immigration. Yet we’ve heard very little on climate policies and the BBC has allowed Richard stove to spread climate misinformation on it’s shows. The next 5 years are critical for climate action and it’s no exaggeration to say that the decisions made by the next government will have a profound impact on both current and future generations. If you want more coverage and scrutiny of climate and nature policies, let BBC News know! 👇 https://lnkd.in/e6ShezE5

Donald Trump: “We will put an end to green scam." https://lnkd.in/euBmqKNs If the US retires from the climate accords, should the EU do the same? USA historical contributions is 25% of all total emissions. Annually, it is about 13,5%. The EU is half of that. What’s the point in spending trillions of euros for green deals and should it be done more on a national level? How come the UK Government isn’t subsiding solar panels on housing in the UK? Why aren’t solar panels mandatory on all future builds?
Donald Trump promises to ‘terminate the Green New Scam’ if re-elected
