Not a very common take, but one I tend to agree with for a lot of use cases I'm seeing or we are being asked to deliver across domains. I definitely think there is a lot of power with a properly implemented LLM both in #healthcare data and in the #clinic. But we are experiencing a tendency to throw any and all problems at a foundation #LLM and just expect it to be a magic bullet for solving our tasks. Having business leadership understand this is a growing responsibility of ML/AI leaders as we push forward in this new era of #LLMs and #GENAI. We must move carefully and with specific intent, while ensuring we are not just chasing shiny toys.

If you could scan your DNA and discover health issues long before they reared their ugly head, would you want to know? While formerly a hypothetical thought experiment that might make for an interesting campfire discussion, it’s no longer a thing of our imagination. AI is discovering how to decrypt the hidden patterns of our DNA, providing insight into our health future, allowing critical treatments or preventative measures to be given extending and improving people’s lives. One key question is, will these advanced technologies be limited to the elite who already have the upper hand or will technology democratize the capability making it possible for everyone.
