In the season of motherhood, when stress and exhaustion are daily companions, we need to prioritise restoring our energy. Traditional workouts often aren’t the answer—they can take more than they give. This is the time to focus on gentle, energy-restoring practices: stretching, reconnecting with your core, strengthening your back through simple movements, and most importantly, learning to breathe slower and deeper—not just during exercise but throughout the day. Even a mindful walk outdoors can work wonders for stress relief. If you’d like to read more about “breathing walks” and how they can help reduce stress, check out my latest blog post. Feeling disconnected from your body is probably more common than not! The world can feel like it never stops and it's easy to stuck in our heads, overthinking and stressing about things. One of the reasons I enjoy mountain biking is because, during my rides, I'm present in my body ... even if it comes with a few scratches and bruises - it feels good! It forces me to live in the moment and be aware of how I'm physically feeling. When I'm focused on my body, my mind feels free. Plus, those steep hills and bumps really bring to the surface any emotions that have been hiding away! Shouting a poor tree for being in the way is a good indication there's something more going on. Here's the thing, if we don't allow ourselves to feel our emotions, they make themselves known in other ways and we end up feeling the pain of them physically. Our body is constantly giving us signals about what's going on internally as an opportunity to acknowledge and release it. That's where breathwork comes in. By tapping into the power of your breath, you give yourself permission to bring those pent-up emotions to the surface in a safe space and release them. So, how about joining me for an online breathwork session? Take the time to get in touch with your body and release anything that no longer serves you and almost certainly holds you back... all from the comfort of your own home. Only a few spaces remaining 👇 📆 Weds 12th June 🕛 8pm - 9pm (UK) 📍 Online ONLY £10 (limited offer) Book Your Seat - https://lnkd.in/ehdTX6qh #mindbodyconnection #breathwork #emotionalrelease #onlinebreathwork #breakthroughbreathwork #emotionalwellbeing

Yesterday, I went for a swim in a wild pond just 10 minutes from my front door. It was my first time back in natural waters for some time and it hit me how much I’d missed it. As a doctor and coach for high-achieving women, I often see the effects of chronic stress on both mind and body. We’re always pushing, always striving, often at the cost of our well-being. I’d fallen into that trap myself, forgetting the simple joys that used to keep me balanced. Stepping into that pond was a wake-up call. The cool water shocked my system, but in a good way. For those few minutes, I wasn’t thinking about deadlines, clients or patients. I was just there, in the moment, feeling the water and seeing the nature around me. There was no dramatic revelation during my time in the water, but there was a simple, powerful reminder of what I’d been missing. The physical exercise felt great, but the mental reset was even better. I left the pond feeling clearer and calmer than I had in months. Consider giving this a try. Wild swimming isn’t a magic cure-all, but it might offer you the break you need. It’s a chance to step away from the constant pressure and reconnect with yourself and nature. Success isn’t just about what you achieve at work. It’s about taking care of your whole self. Sometimes, the best thing you can do for your performance and clarity is to step away from your desk and dive into something completely different. I’m looking forward to my next swim. Maybe I’ll see you out there. #WildSwimming #OpenWaterSwimming #NatureTherapy #StressRelief #MentalClarity #WomenInWellness #CoachLife #SelfCare #NaturalHealth #OutdoorWellness #MindBodyBalance

Hey friends! 👋 Just had a thought I wanted to share with you all. You know what's cool about staying healthy and fit? It's not just about looking good or feeling great (though those are awesome too!). It's about the amazing memories we get to create! Think about it - when we're healthy and active, we're more likely to say "yes" to that spontaneous hike, join in on that beach volleyball game, or dance all night at a friend's wedding. These become the stories we tell for years to come, the moments that make us smile on tough days. But when we're not taking care of ourselves, focusing only on work or money, we often miss out on these incredible experiences. We're too tired, our bodies can't keep up, or we're just not in the right headspace to fully enjoy life's adventures. So here's my challenge to you: next time you're debating whether to hit the gym or go for that run, remember - you're not just working on your body. You're investing in future memories, in stories you'll tell your grandkids, in moments that make life truly worth living. What's a favorite memory you have that was made possible by your health and fitness? Share below! Let's inspire each other to keep making those memory dividends! 💪🌟 #HealthyLiving #MemoryDividends #FitnessJourney #LiveYourBestLife
