When transporting goods by sea, long distances have to be covered, often in extreme weather conditions ⛈🌪 Labels are used to reliably label goods of all classes, e.g. hazardous substances or toxic chemicals, in accordance with GHS. Our new ZM1 variant PICOFILM WO-110 matt ZM1 (8003) is the perfect choice for this. The FACESTOCK BOPP film is matt coated on the front for variable information printing (V.I.P.) with water-based inkjet and topcoated on the reverse for increased adhesive anchorage. Thanks to its thickness of 115 µm, it is particularly suitable for large-format labels (A4 and larger) as it is especially robust and tear-resistant.

If one thing is clear to us, it’s that we do not want to take any potential risks with our ingredients. ❌ For this reason, we adapted our formulation for UV flexo inks even before the EuPIA - European Printing Ink Association recommendation to dispense with TMPTA came into force. What exactly are we talking about? TMPTA (trimethylolpropane triacrylate) is used for liquid radiation-curing printing inks due to its ability to polymerise quickly, curing within a few seconds when exposed to UV light. Based on the EuPIA exclusion policy, the organisation has issued a recommendation to dispense with this substance. According to the harmonised classification and labelling (ATP18) approved by the European Union, TMPTA can not only be very toxic to aquatic life but may also cause serious health effects. As we do not want to take any risks, we have reformulated our UV flexographic printing inks to ensure that they are now free from TMPTA - in the interests of the environment and to avoid potential health risks. 🌱 #printing #inks #EuPIA #UV #flexo #sustainability

Numerous applications call for specialty plastic tubing to resist chemicals, acids, hot solvents, and heat. Printing directly onto these materials is incredibly challenging and labels are also an ineffective solution. However, our UV laser marking systems are able to mark these plastics efficiently and accurately via the "Cold Marking" process.
