CONTINUITY IN ARGUMENTATION What keeps arguments going is not necessarily lack of understanding but differences in understanding, and that is a traditional platform for philosophical continuity, wherein rationalism/idealism and empiricism/materialism are usually in opposition. FLASH BACK OF (2024/10/09) THE WONDERS OF PHILOSOPHY As you get reminiscencingly-transcendented in philosophism of Transcendentalism, you would by fraternity of understandability and meaningfulness apprehend the reality that philosophy itself is traditionalised, foundationalised and fundamentalised in the rudimentary of complications, complexities, and even contradictions of contextualities of postulations and theorisations. While hegemony is a central concept, some argue that selectively applying it without considering Gramsci's broader philosophical framework has narrowed its application. Gramsci's ideas on intellectuals, civil society, and the dialectical relationship between structure and superstructure are also crucial for understanding communication and culture. #Gramsci's broader philosophical framework

Immanuel Kant's Philosophy 📚 📜 Immanuel Kant (1724-1804), one of the most influential modern philosophers, spent his life in Königsberg. Influenced by Rousseau and Hume, he focused on academia and philosophy. 🌍 Kant initially wrote on scientific topics, including earthquakes and physical geography. His work *General Natural History and Theory of the Heavens* (1755) anticipated the nebular hypothesis. 🧠 Kant's shift to philosophy saw him addressing metaphysics and skepticism. His *Dreams of a Ghost-seer* (1766) critiques metaphysics through Swedenborg's mystical system. 📖 Kant's seminal work, *The Critique of Pure Reason* (1781), argues that while knowledge cannot transcend experience, some of it is a priori. He distinguishes between analytic and synthetic propositions and posits that some synthetic propositions are known a priori. 🕰️ Kant asserts that space and time are subjective forms of intuition, shaping how we perceive the world, rather than properties of things-in-themselves. 🧩 Kant identifies twelve categories that the mind uses to interpret experiences, which apply to perceptions but not to things-in-themselves. 🔍 Kant explores antinomies—contradictory statements both seemingly provable—highlighting the limits of pure reason. He critiques metaphysical proofs of God's existence, arguing that reason alone cannot establish these beliefs. 💡In *The Critique of Practical Reason* (1786), Kant argues for God, freedom, and immortality based on moral law, which demands justice and virtue. ⚖️ Kant’s *Metaphysic of Morals* (1785) introduces the categorical imperative: "Act only according to a maxim by which you can at the same time will that it shall become a general law," emphasizing duty over consequence. 🌐 In *Perpetual Peace* (1795), Kant advocates for a federation of free states to prevent war, promoting a republican government structure with separated powers. Conclusion 🎓 Kant's philosophy, combining ethics, metaphysics, and epistemology, remains foundational, influencing contemporary thought with its emphasis on a priori knowledge and the categorical imperative. #Philosophy #ImmanuelKant #Epistemology #Ethics #Metaphysics #GermanIdealism

BANISHING THE MISCONCEPTIONS OF THE PHILOSOPHER'S GUILD: AN APPRECIATION FOR PHILOSOPHY AND ITS CONTRIBUTIONS All to often, when the philosopher appears on the public scene, his presence is greeted with much contempt than content. In fact, popular opinion has it that, philosophers are a band of argumentative brutes, who use their silky skills and tight logic to argue everything and anything placed before them. From God to nature and from morality to reality, they dispute everything and anything, seeming never to agree on what is or what should be in itself. This perhaps makes the philosopher's guild an unwanted irritation, because she in her nature questions everything which is within the visible human's sphere. However, would anyone be justified to banish philosophy on the basis of its guild's misconception? I find that inappropriate. Because the philosopher's guild offers everyone an opportunity to rethink popular opinions, thoughts and ways, in which people hold certain practices as true. It gives you and I the opportunity to engage in meaningful progress.By unearthing things to get to their true worth and value. As such it is often by unveiling this things in their real meaning that we have progress in knowledge. Therefore, the philosophers are not senseless argumentative brutes neither are they an unagreeing bunch. Rather, they do agree and they do agree on the true, the good and the beautiful, which are qualities deep and human to us all. So then, when ever you see the philosopher in a public space, remember to note that they stands for the true, the good and the beautiful, if at all they are worth the name philosophers. # Lets celebrate those philosophers who make a difference## philosophy is a way of life.
