🌟 Last week, while I was standing on a red beach - cut off from LinkedIn and most of the world - the social media platform notified my network that the company I founded, Magnar Metals, officially turned 8 years old. 🎉  It's not lost on me the *iron*y of the timing and the location of this event. The red beach I celebrated this milestone on is a product of heavy iron content from a nearby volcano 🌋 on Rabida Island in the Galapagos Islands. Those of you who have known me and Magnar Metals over these past 8 years should get a chuckle from how the universe put these two amazing events together. 🌎  I started Magnar after my time at AK Steel Corporation (now Cleveland-Cliffs), and it has grown leaps and bounds from my experiences and relationships throughout the recycled metals supply chain. ♻ From sustainability consulting to metals brokerage, Magnar Metals has worked with a variety of companies across the industry. 🏭  So why was I on a red beach? At the beginning of this month, I hopped on an airplane, flew to Ecuador ✈️ and joined the LimitLes Travel group for an incredible adventure. 🌊  I can't imagine anywhere else more fitting to celebrate Magnar turning 8 than with a close friend (Lisa Reade) and fellow spirited, successful, entrepreneurial, professional, independent women ✨ encouraging and supporting one another while sharing a once in a lifetime experience through the Galapagos Islands. 🐢  🍃 The trip's location was a reminder of why I am in this industry.
