Industry Jargon of the Day! Advance Orders: An order for services (e.g., shipping, labor, rental equipment) placed before the trade show starts, often at a reduced rate. Coming out of covid, there have been a lot of new people working in the trade show industry mostly on the exhibitor side that could benefit from this. Side note: Exhibit managers need to target these calendar dates in order to take advantage of discounted pricing, if you miss this date you will pay a premium. Dig deeper: https://lnkd.in/g6bw83n5

Decisions, decisions… actually, there's not much of one here. I could “rent” a pub table for $400+ for two days in the expo hall or buy a better one on Amazon for $57 with a coupon and free shipping, which I then have for use at other tradeshows or conferences! This same event also does not provide flooring or a table with the “purchase” of your booth space, which comes out to about $1000 to $1200 for a 10’x10’ booth each year. This is why I bought our table and flooring, which we use now at all our shows. #HighwayRobbery #Tradeshow #NotFunny #ExhibitorProblems
