Odense hosts #WeekofRobotics 🤖 Never before have so many international roboticists gathered in the City of Odense at the same time! 🌍 C-level executives, scientists, investors, engineers, and students from around the World will converge on the World’s Leading Robotics City from October 20-26th for the #WeekofRobotics 🚀 But why is this happening? For the first time, ROSCON is visiting Scandinavia. Over 1,000 delegates, with more than 60% from outside Europe, will gather at Odeon, where local companies like Universal Robots and Mobile Industrial Robots will play a dominent role alongside dozens of international partners such as Intel Corporation, Otto Rockwoll Automation, LG Electronics and many more. We never know how many people to expect, how to perfectly manage the crowds, the expectations, and the hundreds of short and long interactions that will take place. But then the show begins, and we see the robot performing flawlessly. We hear the compliments, the thoughtful questions, the endless curiosity and interest from the attendees. And then slowly the apprehension goes away, and we get to enjoy the ability to share, to engage and connect. The Junior Experts Exchange Program (JEX) for young scientists from Japan and Germany has started at the end of November. During the program, the participants visit selected research and industry sites related to this year's focus topic “Intelligent Robotics for Society 5.0 / Industry 4.0”. This enables them to exchange ideas and network with experts from the host country. While the German delegation returned from Japan last week, the Japanese delegation landed in Germany on Saturday and still has a week full of activities ahead of them in Bonn, Stuttgart, Munich and Berlin. The one-week program in Germany is funded by the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung and conceptualized and implemented by the JDZB.
