Putting down the Tiles in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central When viewing a List Page in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, users can view the page in List or Tile view. The tile view shows records as tiles instead of rows. By default, the fields displayed in the Tile are the first five fields as defined on the list page. Did you know that Developers can specify the data shown in the Tile view? Read how here: https://lnkd.in/eqZApyvv #msdyn365bc #businesscentral

Is your organization using #Dynamics 365 CE (online)? Do you use the MS-provided data import wizard? If your answer to these 2 questions is Yes, there is an undocumented bug that I found (I do a LOT of that it seems) that you should be aware of. The data import wizard will fail for records that have ANY extra (hidden) spaces anywhere in the field when the import has a lookup reference where the field does NOT have extra spaces (most likely at the end of your data strings or before the string). For instance, if a lookup reference in your import has "Company" as the name data string in D365, but your import file has "Company "(space at the end), that will fail with a lookup reference failure code. #dynamics365 #dynamicscustomerenagement #dynamics365CRM

This quick video (no sound) shows how you can use the down-and-dirty Table Browser tool to import data into Dynamics 365. In this case, it's the States for the Faerun Address Configuration. You can do this formally using Data Management, but if you are in a rush or don't need to create data packages, then this works like a charm.
