The size comparison between the Titanic and modern cruise ships is quite astonishing. The Titanic, which sailed in the early 1900s, was considered a massive ship for its time. However, compared to modern cruise ships, it would be considered relatively small. ⛴️🚢 To give you an idea, the Titanic had a length of about 882 feet (268 meters) and a maximum capacity of around 2,435 passengers. In contrast, many modern cruise ships can exceed 1,000 feet (305 meters) in length and accommodate several thousand passengers. Some of these ships even have multiple decks, swimming pools, theaters, and various amenities to make the cruising experience more enjoyable. I have sold and bought other airplanes during this periode, but didn’t even think about selling the Stemme. Yes, you can do fabulous things with the Stemme: traveling to remote locations, do epic flights in the mountains and so much more cool things. But one of the reasons I love the Stemme is a little thing: taking the Stemme for a flight after work, in the evening when there are no thermals and the air has settled down. Maybe with an overcast sky before sunset. Just taking the plane up to a few thousand feet, switching of the engine and gliding down for like 30 minutes. The air feeling like smooth silk, not a movement felt in the cockpit, only the sound of the air flowing by. Maneuvering the plane with the slightest touch of the controls. Feeling myself getting more and more relaxed: a feeling of gratitude to be in that very magical moment, here and now.
