Ever catch yourself feeling guilty after eating something "bad"? 🍽️ I've been there. For years, I battled with food shame and anxiety. But here's the truth I learned: Food isn't good or bad. It's just... food. Here are 3 quick tips to start healing your relationship with food🌟 : 1. Practice mindful eating - focus on how food makes you feel, not just calories. 2. Allow all foods in moderation - restriction often leads to binging. 3. Speak kindly to yourself - negative self-talk doesn't serve you. Remember, a healthy relationship with food is about nourishment and enjoyment, not punishment and fear. What's one food you've been afraid to enjoy lately? Comment it below👇 #hangluufitness #achievechampionship #foodrelationship #intuitiveeating

Is Your Life Like A Bowl Of Cherries? The year seems to be whizzing by and we are in July now? Where did the last 6 months go? But at least on the seasonal food front there is loads to be cheerful about, with such an abundance of beautiful fruit and veg available right now here in UK. So whether you decide to remind yourself that life is like a bowl of cherries and delight in their sweet taste and beautiful aroma, or have a go at knocking up a bowl of ratatouille - with plenty of garlic and fresh seasonal herbs, don't forget to enjoy your food and be grateful for the nourishment it offers to your body. The practice of gratitude and eating with pleasure and joy are both components of mindful eating and also contributing factors in getting as much goodness out of your food as possible. #holisticnutritionist# #psychologyofeating# #recoveryfromchronicfatigue# #beatemotionaleating#

There is no rule that you must eat all the junk foods and drink excessively during the weekend. You can still enjoy your treats, a piece of cake, a glass of wine in moderation. At the end of the day everything that goes into your mouth counts. Don't reverse all the gains that you have made during the week by just one weekend of overindulgence. Most of these junk foods and drinks including alcohol causes inflammation. You temporarily enjoy over indulging but the effect will linger in your body long after. Moderation is the key. #healthyeating #healthyfood #healthylifestyle

Why is it so difficult to eat healthily? The answer lies in the way our brains are wired—for pleasure and energy conservation. Our limbic system, which evolved from the reptilian brain, governs emotions and pleasure and makes quick, energy-saving decisions. On the other hand, choosing to eat something like broccoli demands more effort: purchasing it, finding a recipe, preparing it, and finally consuming it. Constantly forcing yourself to do something that your limbic system doesn’t register as pleasurable is both exhausting and destined to fail. So, what's the solution? - To learn to enjoy healthy food. - Seek out healthy options that bring you pleasure. - Continuously explore new healthy dishes, - Expand your repertoire of favourites. - Clean up your pantry of sweet and salty snacks

Do you ever find yourself labeling foods as "good" 🍏 or "bad" 🍔? You're not alone! But here's the thing: placing moral judgments on what we eat can lead to unhealthy relationships with food. 🍲❌ In my practice, I help clients shift their mindset by renaming "bad" foods as "treats" – no guilt attached! The challenge? Our food environment is full of highly processed options that make moderation tough. Let’s rethink how we talk about food and make more mindful choices together. 💪 #HealthyEating #MindfulEating #NutritionMatters #FoodMindset #FoodFreedom #diabetesdiet #type2diabetic #prediabeticdiet #weightlossjourney
