In UX, relying on data helps you design with purpose, not guesswork. There are two key types of data to consider: 🔹 Quantitative data This tells you what’s happening—like where users drop off, how they navigate, and which features they engage with. Think of it as the “what, when, and how.” 🔹 Qualitative data This digs into the “why”—why users make certain choices or struggle with specific features. It’s more about user interviews, feedback, and observing behavior. Combining both types of data lets you pinpoint issues and refine your design in ways that actually matter to your users. What’s one design change you’ve made based on user data?

In UX research, it's easy to drown in data and lose the narrative. It's crucial to step back and ask: What does this data actually mean and where are the opportunities? A quick example: “Our user testing data tells us that 4/8 users struggled to find the field for the coupon code in the checkout form” So what? “They couldn't apply the code we sent them for the Spring sale, so they dropped off.” This illustrates the consequence but what about the opportunity? “Making the coupon code field more obvious at checkout would increase the conversion rate for users with coupon codes by up to 100%” Data needs interpretation, expansion and storytelling to have meaningful impact. #UXResearch #DataStorytelling #UserExperience

Zuko Analytics : removing the 💩 from webforms for a decade It's all too easy to look at general conversion stats and miss a key UX fail on your form. In today's Nerdy Insights, by using Zuko's segmentation reports, the difference in the Abandon Rate of the phone number field between device types was so drastic that it required a bit of investigation... ... and a quick change to the field type will lead to a very quick UX win. If you want Zuko to find the 💩 in your webform, let's talk.

Stop Relying on Intuition. Start Using Data-Driven UX Now. Data can be your UX superpower. 💡 But how do you know if you're truly leveraging it? Here are three quick checks to find out if your UX decisions are grounded in data: 1. Track User Behavior: ↳ Are you analyzing how users navigate your platform? Heatmaps, session recordings, and analytics provide powerful insights into their experience. 2. Run A/B Tests: ↳ Do you experiment with different designs? Testing helps validate what works and what doesn't with real users. 3. Gather Qualitative Feedback: ↳ Are you listening to your users, especially to their needs? Interviews, surveys, and feedback forms can reveal insights that numbers alone might miss. In my experience, aligning UX decisions with data boosts user satisfaction and engagement significantly. 📈 💬 How have you used data to improve your designs? Do you think there's still room for intuition in UX, or is data the future? Let me know in the comments! #UXDesign #DataDriven #UserExperience #UXTips #DesignDecisions #ProductDesign #A/BTesting #UserFeedback
