EITI (Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative)’s Post

Last week, EITI’s Nassim BENNANI, Tatiana Camilo Eisenberg de Alvarenga and Olesia Tolochko were in #Angola 🇦🇴 for the country’s first Validation since joining the EITI in June 2022.   During the visit, the team engaged with the ITIE Angola national secretariat, government representatives (incl. MIREMPET, ANPG, Agência Nacional de Recursos Minerais, MINAMB, Ministério das Finanças de Angola ), companies (incl. ACEPA members, Sonangol, Endiama, SODIAM,E.P., Catoca Mining Company, Pensana Plc and Tosyalı Iron and Steel Angola (TISA)), civil society organisations, supporting countries and international development partners, among others. This Validation represents a significant milestone for Angola in assessing its progress in implementing the #EITIStandard. Thank you all for your engagement throughout this process. We look forward to continuing our work with all partners to advance transparency and accountability in #Angola’s extractive sector.
