Research gate just made aware of ‘events & sustainability’ research I had nearly forgotten (one of series 2007-23). Of interest to those considering leadership of sustainable festivals, or events and regeneration of place (or beyond): Summary: Study examines the perception of festival sustainability by festival leaders. It identifies critical factors associated with sustainable festivals and explores leaders' attitudes towards creating and directing sustainable festivals. Main findings reveal that festival leaders prioritize event focus, leadership, funding, and organizational culture for sustainability. Additionally, sustainability is perceived as crucial for festival survival. The study suggests using the repertory grid method to manage stakeholder visions and proposes future research directions. #FestivalSustainability #Leadership #Research

When I was a postdoc in John Cryan's lab, he gave me a really valuable piece of advice on how to be a leader. One of your many jobs is to help people, especially the younger ones, get to where they want to go in their lives and help them achieve their personal or career goals.
