The value of a good mentor on personal, social and occupational levels. I was fortunate to stumble upon a some during my time at EY and it made every difference in my success alongside them...and my successes ever since. Michael Yadgar, Eric Ernst, Kim Billeter, and #SheilaMcGovern (who we lost far too soon in 2019) were three who profoundly impacted me.
Before you start your career, remember it is a marathon, not a sprint, but that being said, train hard everyday.
For 11 years, I've been part of the EY in HR department in Ukraine. Here's my advice: don't hesitate to apply for a position there. It's an excellent launchpad for your career, offering great colleagues, top-notch work standards, and endless opportunities ahead!
I spent 5 wonderful years at EY , RSA. Make an effort to spend dedicated quality time to build sound relationships with not only the external stakeholders, but also with the internal stakeholders. And keep raising your hand for new and challenging projects. EY will look after you!
Capital Markets Practice Leader at BDO
8moI just retired after 33 1/2 years at this wonderful Firm. My advice - establish your internal network as best you can. It will serve you for years no matter where your career leads you. Also, keep your eyes open for other opportunities within the Firm. EY loves to keep good people and if you want to make a change they respect it. But most of all - have fun with your co-workers and clients.
